I have two videos in filmora, I had to edit both
so that they match a mutual time line, if I use
split screen I can only drag the media box clips
into the two split screens, so they are not synced
they are the unedited clips that don't match. If
I export my two clips they will only one clip..
How can I export my two clips individually so
that I can bring them back and apply the split screen
function?

Thanks Jacky, clear, concise, and helpful as usual. I am struggling to figure out how to remove the animations at the end of the split-screen templates. I want the images to remain in their respective sections and NOT fade out during the last second of the template. I have figured out how to replace the animations from the ones that Filmora builds into the template but they still fade or move out of the frame near the end of the template. Hope I have made myself clear. Thanks for your time and attention to this issue.

Finding it difficult to split the screen like zoom call. Is there a way to edit the split screen template to adjust the window size and window placement. please suggest.

On Filmora 13 you can now choose each clip and make changes to it, which is rather nice and much more useful. The thing I don't like too much is that if I already have the clips in the timeline I have to export them and then import them again. There should be an easier way of putting the clips in the split screen.... or is there?

Hi, yes, I did. You have to export the clips and then import them as footage again, which is a big bother. If you have two clips, for example, you can put them on the timeline, then export. You can even put them close to one another, I believe, because after you export them you have to cut them, to only leave what you need, so you end up with two clips again and then bring them down to the place where you have the split screen. Fiddly, if you ask me.......... Another thing I never got an answer to is why not all the colour presets are in the small split screen window, so you can't match those clips to others you have already changed to your taste. Filmora does have a lot of problems, if you ask me. I hope this helps.

when you split with 2 or 3 videos, is there a way to "fit to screen" for all 3? I'm working on some drafts and I'm trying to avoid the manual aspect of having to fit each and every single video perfectly. Not a headache when you just have a handful of files, but it's extremely tedious with 100+ clips.

Hi, have you noticed that when you go to advanced not all the colour presets are there? If you used a colour preset in earlier footage, it is not good if you can't find it again for the split screen.

Please do a tutorial on split screen with synchronized audio. I want to record myself playing 2 or more different parts of a song, showing myself playing each part, but the audio is a combination of all the separate parts. I saw a tutorial on Filmora9, but it was quite confusing for me.

Ok but how do you do when you want them to come in one by one, i'm doing a clip and there's a call betwen 4 people, each one enter one by one, so its solo screen then two then three then four every time a new person enter the call,,, it doesnt seems to be designed for those kind of effect....

One note; I had to 'trial and error' to come to the realization
that I could not edit videos and mix them into separate
windows or insets/split screen, I have to complete my videos that I
want to blend then import them and apply the multiple
windows/insets/split screen.

No way to do that. You need to set in point and out point before dragging into the template.

Jacky, split screen music videos are impossible with Filmora 12, i need to have 3 instruments playing throughout the video and then jump between different split screens of the videos showing the instrument being played in different videos whilst being synced...impossible PLEASE DO A VIDEO

Currently, they only offer Perpetual plan which lets you use F12 for life. This is the best option in my opinion. Just find my 20% discount code in my video description.
how to delete the opening animation of the split screen?
Double click at the split screen on the timeline. Look at top right of the properties pane, uncheck the green box.
can i use telugu fronts in Filomra 12. if yes, then please make a video on that.
Just install telugu fonts on your computer, filmora will recognize it.

Why does every split screen tutorial assume that we start the split at the beginning of the video. No one does that! What if you already have a timeline and a primary video, and you want to do a split screen with that included plus 1 or 2 other videos added to the split, then transition back to only the primary video? No one ever covers that but that's 90% of how people use split screens.
I don't think Filmora does this, at least I haven't figured it out yet. You can do it in Kdenlive though.
