The consensus would seem to be that one should get any SX 70 professionally cleaned/adjusted/calibrated and refurbished when bought with an unknown history. With the cost of film so relatively high it does make economic sense to do this. Even a camera stored long time in perfect conditions they are susceptible to some determination affecting its operation. These are after all approx 50 year old complex mechanical/electrical devices built to a cost. Your video clearly illustrates this point.
Hey. Cool video. Went to your Instagram and didn’t see any new Polaroids. Do you have a page where you are showing stuff you have got the last few months?
On the rear occasion I use an SX-70 indoor without a flash I'm usually very close to thethe light source. A tripod is recommended incase the camera picks a longer shutter speed.

why is everyone so hellbent on film being easy to find in stores? its recommended to buy direct from the website anyways?
You need a flash for these camera no matter how much you adjust the exposure dial you won't get good exposure s
I would agree when I finally used the final couple flashes on my last flash bar, I realized how well new Polaroid photos shine with a good flash.
