- Finnish tech company HMD has launched two new smartphones in the Indian market, the Crest and the Crest Max. Both phones come in the budget segment and offers self-repairing capabilities. You also get a segment-first 50MP selfie camera on the phone. With a 5000mAh battery and a Unisoc T760 chipset, can these two phones give a stiff competition to other phones in this segment? I guess there is no one phone or brand is "best", only "best suite" for you, look for the downside of a phone then pick what is acceptable to you.

Not sure how capableUnisoc chipset is going to be, but overall specs look good at this price...until I heard about updates in the video😢😢..ideally they should hv given 2 yr OS plus 3 years security updates...but in worse scenario 1 plus os 3 yrs sec was must...i hope they reconsider at least 1 yr timely OS update

Go with Samsung m34 or poco x6 neo or lava blaze x , moto g64 ,narzo 70x , 70 pro ,get proper updates and best experience under 15k .
I have both Nokia G42 Rs 12k and M34 Rs 13k M34 is far superior in camera, display and speed. G42 have already started to lag, losing touch response. HMD nokia is overpriced junk

G42 is not updating after December 2023 update and stuck on Android 13

I think they don't want to promise now... at least not before significant volume buying. If very few phones were sold, it wouldn't make sense for them to allocate their resources to software updates for a smaller number of phones.
Android update Dena tha atleast 2 years....HMD is new for Indian People in comparison to other brands they need to give more to attract customers... Because they are starting as a new brand...so first the need to Make a place in the market...I am a nokia lover and I was waiting for this phone but just because they are not giving android update I will wait for HMDs next phon....lol....

hmd can never enter into the market with such poor strategies , earlier when they were launching mobiles with name of nokia the specifiactions were worst of all and now when they launched with their name HMD with good specifications they lacked the software update just few minutes back i signed up on to their website to but this phone whenever it will launch after hearing that they will not provide software updates i am not gonna purchase this , i generally hate cheap chinese phones and prefer samsung , apple and motorola but this time i thought i would go for this hmd crest max but they lacked on to updates .
