Just had the same experience this past weekend at “Battle on the Bago” out here in Oshkosh, WI!! Absolutely frigid temps and incredible winds out on the lake and unfortunately no tent for us 😂 props to you guys!!! Love the video(s)!

Dude we were out in the St. Cloud area this last week and the wind was super wicked all night. We could feel the shack shift from the wind while we were trying to sleep. Glad to see ya got some fish out their in that wind

Was out ice fishing one day and looked out of the shelter to see an old man and this ancient tip up flying across the lake...had to run out and save the poor guy (who borrowed the tip up and had no anchors of any kind)...he was upset when we told him we weren't helping him setup his death trap...and we let him fish in one of our properly anchored shelters. He caught a few small perch and was a happy camper n the end.

I’ve heard that canon cameras have issues sometimes with batteries not directly from canon so maybe that’s the issue? So if you have some from like ravpower or something maybe try getting more 1st party canon branded batteries? Not sure if that’s the issue but maybe

Idk if you already fixed the camera battery problem but usually batteries don’t do well when they’re cold so you should try to keep the batteries on your body to keep them warm. And then when you’re using your camera you can strap a hand warmer to it to keep it warm.
Do you think running the heater all night makes too much moisture? Ive been trying to not run mine at night.

Facts🤜
A good substitute for ice anchors is 1.5ft piece of wood about 2" diameter. It is free and just drill a hole and shove the stick vertically until it is through and goes horizantal, oh yeah tie a rope to it first.

My mom was in an ice shack that got blown partly across the lake one time.
My dad told me about it and I sent her some ice clamps as a joke. You dig a hole in the ice and put these things down in the hole and they spring open and lock. You push down on something and they loosen up again.
That is the first time I've seen sushi and chopsticks in an icefishing shack though. Closest I've seen is raw hamburger.
