- Welcome back to the famous 'existential crisis'-episode, now in 17 different languages!
Which language did you like the most? :)
So this thing turned out to be a bit of a bigger project than expected, especially when existential dread decided to hit me hard about halfway through the process. Wasn't able to get myself to even open up the editing program for a couple of weeks straight, but finally got back to it now and am actually quite happy with how this turned out!

They changed the voicline in German a bit.

@@feliciamartin9771 Tbh i liked the French one, the greek one is good too (for me at least cuz i am greek XD) but i have heard that voice many times in other games too and movies,we dont have many voice actors here xd
@@venice7493 Oh I see, well personally I'm disappointed because we have very good voice actor in France (like the one of Tahm Kenc is excellent in French) but this one is pretty low :p But guess it's all about personal preference ^^
Jesus, The Wolf sounds scary in certain languages and I love it
I like english the most, mostly on how Lamb sounds so emotionless and detached and Wolf so joyfully bloodthirsty. Japanese has a really weird voice for Wolf, he kind of sounds less enthusiastic than Lamb like he's the cold killer not her. Italian Wolf is so much growl I give that voice actor kudos for being able to do that without straining his voice. Most Lambs are good, though some have a bit more smile in their voice than I'd like.
I felt the same with the Japanese!! Lamb sounds so cheeky too, and Wolf sounds like he just looks scary but would probably sleep thru the whole ordeal lmao
@@Starichigo Japanese sounds nothing like English. Completely different approach was taken by the actors in both these languages. That being said JP didn't do a good job at expressing these characters' personalities.
The japanese dub is exactly a standard anime dub. Anyway, they probably didn't explain to the dubber of wolf what he had to sound like.

Mordekaiser: "Ahhhhh, I remember that name, how weak I was like all mortals."
Lamb: "We have sensed your return as well as many others. You have tampered with our hunts."
Mordekaiser: "You send people to be discarded, fade away. I give them new purpose. Though I must thank you for your efforts. Your little hunts have not only lead to my rise to power but also sends me more mortals to further grow my army."
Lamb: "You and those you control should not be here, their time has already come."
Mordekaiser: "You thought you could stop me with that pathetic bow, even your little pet means nothing."
Wolf: "I am no pet! We are bound together!"
Mordekaiser: "I am Mordekaiser, I am the true lord of death. You are just more spirits to add to my domain."
Kindred: "You'll have to take us both!"
Mordekaiser raised Nightfall as Lamb prepared her bow and Wolf readied himself for a very long chase, the battle for death was about to unfold.

I think that the original is the best one: this shiver and ethereal feeling in Lamb’s voice is just too good!
But I enjoyed French, LA Spanish and Chinese versions a lot, they did a great job!
PS: I myself am Russian and although I think that Russian version has beautiful lyrics, the Lamb’s voice sounds kinda... seductive and loses its ViBe~
The German version of lamb sounds so soothing and peaceful, like a soft whisper gently ushering you into the internal sleep.
Wolf though...sounds like that voice you hear in your dreams when your running from some symbol of death, no matter how hard you run, it’s always there, inescapable and ever present, just like death itself.
Different languages or not. It still gives me the shivers.
Kindred lore plus TL;DR version in case you didn't understand the quotes
Not much is known about Kindred to be honest, they represent Death itself. Let's say someone has died, they get stuck in a limbo which is most likely the Spirit Realm and suddenly Kindred is there Lamb and Wolf both of them always. The person who died is given two choices, 1. accept a quick death by Lamb's bow or 2. run and be torn to shreds by Wolf, both ways they'll be sent to the same place which we now know as the Death Realm or if you want to get technical _Mitna Rachnun_ (pronunciation: mit-na-rack-noon) which means Mordekaiser's Afterlife. If we gather some hints from the story that Lamb tells Wolf (link below) Lamb tells Wolf that there once was a pale man with dark hair, this might be tied to the Grim Reaper who is a skeleton and wears a black cloak. Wolf refers to the man as 'it' and we as humans sometimes refer to the Grim Reaper as 'it'. Lamb says that 'All things must meet this man' and what other being has met everything that has ever been and ever will be? I have proof to why it isn't Mordekaiser because people obviously died before Mordekaiser was even born as the warlord Sahn-Uzal. Lamb also says that people shunned this man and, we as humans shun the Grim Reaper because it is Death itself. One of the biggest hints is when Lamb says that 'He took an axe, and split himself in two' Kindred represents Death, don't they? and there are two of them. Kindred is mostly just a story in the League of Legends universe though, we don't even know if they're real and that logic goes with Fiddlesticks and Shaco too they're pretty much just stories although I believe them to be real because why would Riot make a champion that doesn't actually exist? Apparently the earliest recorded sighting of Kindred was when two masks were seen in the forest somewhere, one was black and the other was white, the same color as their masks. Every region has a different way of seeing Kindred, the Demacians would accept a death by Lamb's bow and the Noxians would run from Wolf. Freljord apparently has a tradition before they go into battle called 'kissing the wolf' where they put a stuffed head dressed as Wolf and they would kiss it to honor Wolf's chase in the battle. In Bilgewater after the Harrowing they would have a celebration to everyone that survived to honor those that truly died and didn't just get their souls ripped from their bodies to join the Black Mist. Few have ever escaped Kindred (mostly Shadow Isles natives) but it's said that they have a "waking nightmare" because they don't get the sanctuary they should have gotten which I would guess is getting transported to the Shadow Realm where Nocturne lives since he's associated with nightmares or they walk the Spirit Realm for all eternity. As for the Shadow Isles, Kindred couldn't really care less because they know that in the end all will either end up with Lamb's arrow in their chest or in Wolf's teeth.
*TL;DR:* Kindred represents Death. There isn't much more to it than that, the other stuff is pretty much just fun facts.

@@wolfmin1105 sorry about the bad grammar on the Evelynn video by the way, I noticed before the Sylas video that someone was asking me to use better grammar so it's gotten a little better since then.
It seems as if in the League of Legends lore, if stories believed hard and faithfully enough, spirits that have those traits coalesce to form a physical representation of that belief, kinda like how Evelynn was just a hollow spirit given form after the multitude of suffering in the Rune Wars; how Nocturne is a representation of anyone's nightmare; and how Kindred, just as death is inevitable for any mortal beings, are given its own form. But since each cultures have their own representation of death, so are Kindred's images: if it would be a peaceful one or a harrowing. Demons and spirits are fueled by the emotions and beliefs of people, which kinda reminds of Warhammer's chaos entities, but I'm digressing now
I think Latin American Spanish is probably my favorite out of the Hispanic languages. This was an amazing video!

Love wolf's voice in other languages. Especially the Italian and Spanish. Much more breathy, less growly, which makes it more intense. Loved it

i found it so weird when I hated the Japanese version but?? Lamb sounds so taunting and cheeky and Wolf sounds too calm, is it only me who feels it? even not understanding, it's the tone
Yeah it feels almost reversed
I'm very late to the party, but I speak some Japanese, and the registers the two characters are using sound very appropriate. Wolf sounds rough and tumble, whereas Lamb sounds refined and a bit detached, which I think feeds into the voice. I believe the voice actress for Lamb was trying to make her sound ethereal and spiritual as well, with Wolf sounding more grounded in the physical. Japanese doesn't use a lot of stress for emphasis, so the way Wolf uses intonation in English ("ASHes on WOOL" "ALways THERe") to make himself sound savage and impulsive don't necessarily translate, and thus listening to the Japanese voices without understanding the words likely throws you off.
Being able to track the words and the register, I thought the voices sounded well-matched to each character.
I love languages, this is amazing. Please continue to make more like this! :)

In Romania most of the champs and names sound cringy, Kindred is one of the few I enjoy to hear them even in my native language.

I don't know if the easter egg is inside game or not but, as a French, i can say that's a children song. And, the original song is "promenons nous dans les bois, pendant que le loup n'y est pas. Car si le loup y étiez, il vous mangerai." (walk in the wood/forest, while the wolf is not here. If the wolf was here, he eat you) while, in the video, the "bois"(wood) become "jungle" (same word i think). Can i know why this change (maybe cause its an ingame voice line) ?

To me, many of the voices either have too much sharpness in the Lamb's tongue or not enough growl in the Wolf's. It's usually one or the other. Italian and Latin America pull it off spectacularly though. I know it's the language and VA barrier, but it's still a shame not everyone can experience the same energy.

In my opinion the best ones are:
Russian - Dark = reminds me of old tales of Ба́ба-Яга́ (Baba Yaga) that I listened to as kid.
Czech - bipolar = bacasue I'm biased and the dinamic of happy, polite lamb and savage ruthless and aggressive wolf is just what Kindred and general concept of death fits perfectly.
Polish (and other Slavic languages) - familiar = their language is hard to understand but not impossible making them seem like entity that came to take you out of this world to other, not really belonging in any of them. (But that is just cause I'm Czech)
