What is EZbass?

This plugin is so polished and good its like a dream for producers
Lazy producers should rather learn to play bass.. Its the easiest instrument in the world.
@@therealjackfisher This is the same thing, only more efficient. With a solid understanding of basic music theory, it's pretty much boundless.

Brilliant work.I use EZkeys, EZdrummer 2 and EZmix and finally I will get the EZbass.I hope there will be an Expansion with an Upright Bass.I use a lot of the Midi packs for Keys and Drums and I like them all and I admire your work.

You've got to come up with a fretless version of this. There's not much in the way of Kontakt libraries of that kind, so a fretless would smash it. A double bass would be cool too, though there are quite a few Kontakt libraries that cover this and a few vst instruments like Ample Bass. I'm gonna assume that both of these are probably in the works though, so here's hoping.

Excellent feature set for first release. I hope Fender VI & Danelectro Longhorn will be offered as EZX modules in the near future.

@@toontrack - I am a keyboard player who wants the bass in my productions to sound less like a pianist playing bass. I need to better understand putting my keyboard midi or wav files into ezbass and getting a pro baseline.

2:30 ooh custom tunings... please please add support for loading Scala or Tun files. Same for EZKeys if you haven't already. Love your work, I had the pleasure of beta testing Superior 1 a long time ago.

I BUYED IT last night ..but can bassline in ez bass and music in the DAW play in sync?how ? and how do i export it to DAW?
Is the melodic Bass midi from 1:44 to 2:22 available as a groove? I can't find it in the plugin. Assume it was created manually?
Question: I have a midi track with a drum groove in Logic Pro. I do not see an easy way to load the groove into EZ Bass other than export the midi track, then load it into EZ Bass... waste of time IMO, there should be a way to drop midi sections into ez bass isn't it?

So, how do I change its tuning? Like putting it on Drop C or Drop D?
Will we be able to specify which string we want a certain note played on? A on the 5th fret of the E string is a much different sound than open A string, for example. Maybe covered in a future video, hopefully!
Never mind. I see in the Toontrack forum that this functionality does not exist, unfortunately.
@@TheReverendAssclown Laughable. I know exactly what you're talking about, an A on the E string sounds better and thicker than an open A on the A string. MODO Bass let's you easily choose which string is used via midi.

Looks amazingly slick - but the demo near the beginning with the modern/fingerstyle is bugging me... I get it's likely supposed to emulate tapping, but how is the "player" holding the lower notes while sounding 12th fret harmonics? With great power, comes great responsibility!

There will be a demo in the future but we have no ETA.
But there'll be a lot of videos, reviews and tutorials you can watch and listen to before you make up your mind in case you don't wanna wait for the demo.
Toontrack why did you guys added so many options and complexities?? This is EZ bass not superior bass. I expect a quick and painless process to add bass just like ez drummer one !! Don’t try to make your EZ line a semi Superior line !!!

I'd appreciate it, if the UI had "small" mode... the UI is huge and has lots of empty space so it takes screen realestate unnecessarily...

I haven't seen it mentioned, but what if I want to change the tuning on the actual bass itself? Ex. dropping the B down to A, how would I do that?
Hi, You can use the Tuning tools in the Bass tab. You cannot tune the strings individually though
@@toontrack Thanks for the reply. I'd recommend maybe adding that functionality in the future on either an update or the next product. It would make it a lot more useful.
When adding presets, will they follow the key of the song?
The Presets are just different mixes of the Bass sounds to choose from. The MIDI however can either be dragged down and forced to their original key or adapt to the key you've set in the Song Track.
How can I import here the drum tracks? Would like to import an EZdrum track directly to the EZbass. When I do this I hear the drum parts as a bass...

Drum MIDI imported to EZbass will be converted to bass MIDI. Insert EZbass and EZdrummer in a DAW to play both drums and bass simultaneously.

One thing I noticed when ez bass is following host, the tempo is locked in but the song key on ez bass is different than the host Song key. Why is that? If I open ez bass, should I change the song key on ez bass to match the host song key? Just thought that was interesting
Key isn't automatically the same as your host but you can set the same key in the song track so the Chord wheel adapts to the chosen key
Why will it cost me approx. 11 euros more to download direct from toontrack than it will from a well known London based musical instrument shop, that's a £10 saving ?

I'm beyond pissed off that after all the time and effort gone into developing this product, a simple thing like 'drop D' tuning is not an option.
Hi Chris, it doesn't really make sense to use a drop D tuning with an instrument that is triggered by MIDI. If you want the bass to play a low D, then the user would simply trigger a low D with a MIDI keyboard, or if you are using pre-made grooves, drag all of the low E notes to a low D in the grid editor. This could be done in 2 clicks in the Editor. Automatically transposing an entire string down a step would cause more issues than it would solve because it's not performed like a physical bass where tuning the E string down to D makes power chords easier to physically play. Instead tuning down the entire E string would destroy its playability on a MIDI keyboard, which for a MIDI instrument would be counterintuitive. Finally, the lowest string B... is not actually the lowest note that EZbass can play, it can play an "A" one whole step lower than the low B.
