- The widowmaker heart attack can be fatal to men and women, and has the highest incidence of death. Interventional cardiologist Dr. J. Bradley Gibson explains the symptoms, and why calling 911 is crucial.
I had a LAD WM 100% occlusion. Cardiologist saved me with a stent. TYL Thank You Lord
I’m a medic, we had a guy go down, V Fib and defibrillated him to V Tach with a pulse. He had a widowmaker, our quick action saved his life and he is alive and well today 🙏 please do not delay in calling 911! Take your health seriously and don’t just blow off chest pain!
I had a widow maker 4 years ago. I developed scar tissue in my left main.95 percent blockage. My cardiologist Richard Goldweit at Englewood hosptal saved my life
Thanks to high blood pressure, family history and hypochondria, the referral to a cardiologist found I had the widow maker.
A double bypass later and I beat the family curse.
If you’ve got family history of heart disease, do yourself a favour.
I had absolutely no symptoms.
Amen, I'm 40 years old and I never saw it coming. 20 years of drinking, smoking, and rich foods. I'm grateful to still be here. It's been a blessing in hind sight 🙏
Is blurry vision a symptom?
Can’t use the shortness of breath because of being and asthmatic and can use heart burn either because of acid reflux so that leaves only one thing of your list- chest pressure but you can get that if you are having breath issues. I got a burning sensation on the left side of my neck and on the soft part of my arms. Yes, it was the LAD and I am the one who knew something was wrong and an EKG didn’t detect anything wrong even when I was having a heart attack. CATH lab showed how blockage my arteries are but I eat very carful so what was causing the inflammation that was blocking my arteries? Looks like it was a bit of dairy I was still eating. Type A person, no symptoms that would warn of an impending heart attack so I am the kind of person you would see just drop dead with no symptoms. I have a dog who is trained to detect that I am getting ready to have a “silent heart attack” and that gives me the warning l need
Yes
Nope. I had extreme stomach pain. A typical. I did perspire air. I went to the emergency room and hour and a half later. Still alert talking with the staff ect ... .They told me I had good veins around my arteries. That's why I walked through a widowmaker heart attack. Lucky or different?
It seems your Left Anterior Descending Artery was slowly reducing flow over a long period of time. It caused new small arteries to grow from another main y like Right Coronary Artery. Your heart made its own bypass artery. Enough to let your heart survive.
I had a WM, i would have not survived if it were not fot the EMT
Can this me detected
