This show DEVOURED. Meaghan Martin really excelled in her role. Also, something I loved about this show was how it portrayed sister dynamics really accurately. Both the sisters could be really nice in their own circles, but together they would clash and often act very mean to each other. This made the moments when they worked together and stood by each other to be even more impactful.
I'm glad I'm finding more fans of this show because it did eat when it needed to. I didn't really like her because of her role in camp rock, but she won me over in this show. And yeah, the sister dynamic was really cute and though they were mean to each other, they had their genuine moments of connection, very relatable to people who grew up with siblings. It held its own against the original movie (though you still can compare) and had all the elements for at least a couple seasons. We deserve a season 2!!
Fun fact, I actually stumbled across this show thinking it was the movie, and watched this entire season in like 2013 and I was soo obsessed with it. I remember after I finished it, I went searching on my phone to see if there was another season I could watch (at the time it was in the xfinity genre search which is how i was able to watch at least the first season which is why i couldn't see anything else) come to find out they had scrapped it all together. I was SOOO pissed cause the show had SO much potential and the cliffhanger at the end was just perfect. The way they cancelled it gave me major 'Freaks & Geeks' and 'My Babysitters a Vampire' deja vu, cancelling great shows on great cliffhangers and then finding out the potential plotlines, character developments, and romantic storylines they could've/would've set up. IT HURTS MY HEART EVERY TIME I THINK ABOUT IT.
i was so pissed when i got to the end and realized it was cancelled but you know what show cancellation pissed me of the most: THE LYING GAME ughh dhzhhqej

I watched the first half and thought they canceled the show not realizing they did the mid season break so I never finished it. Even at 10 episodes I was highly upset that they canceled it lol (was absolutely in love with Heath Ledger and envisioned myself as Kat in the movies😂)

So the victims of ABC network gets what we deserve fr. As growing up with a single parent similar to their dad. The struggles sisters go thru to find their own identity and not be compared to one another. Girl, imagine my shock and disappointment when I got to the end of season 1 and saw that there was no season two because I watched the show a few years after they cancelled it, it actually hurt. Yeah, the movie is unmatched, one of my top 10 favourite movies all the time
I remembered being so upset that it ended the way it did. Even today, I forgot how it ended but I still remember how upset I was.

This show and Hell Cats both ended on cliff hangers and i legit grieved these shows for not having another season.
