We may only remember dreams that occur just before we wake, when certain brain activities have been turned back on."

that was cool how they moved to a relax position then before you actually opened your eyes to look, they perked up. Shows that once you thought about looking to see if they worked they moved instead of when you opened your eyes to look. So it does work more on brainwaves then facial movements. Of course you missed them moving with your eyes closed.
YOU WERE THE BEST AT RELAXING...you just had your yes closed. Bronwyn was the most cat like. I thought it cute watching the 3 of you together like that.
It could have easily have been momvement escepcially depending on the type of sensor and if it's making physical contact with you the entire time it's almost guaranteed to be pretty much physical contact based.

I only know about these things because of the school I went to. There were a LOT of high functioning autistic kids there (including me) they couldn't walk, speak in complete sentences and could control their facial expressions. What this school helped us with was reading social cues and be aware of the impression we make on others when I was in middle school, there was 1 guy who always had these cat ears on. He also had a trench coat and even a cane. (Probably a huge weeb) the staff said it helped understand what he was feeling.
(Btw don't be afraid too look like a weeb. I think weebs are cool. I kinda aspire to them actually. I think having chunibyo would be cool)
I tried these a while back at a local comic shop, and I loved them. I wanna get a pair for myself. My best friend watched me walking around the store with them wiggling cuz my Otaku ass was excited by literally everything.

I've had them for five years or so. (My version doesn't have a strap, but it works just the same.) I don't think that the movement of the ears had something to do with my thoughts or feelings, but they are cute. One problem: They are quite delicate, I had to exchange mine after two days because the motors in the ear parts broke. Another problem: A fresh pack of batteries only lasts for two or three hours, so you can quite forget walking around with these things for a whole day at a convention without repeated maintenance.
I had tried them on in the past. They were working fine for me, but like you Sharla I can't relax xD
I wore them all day long with a maid outfit, success guaranteed!! They get quite heavy after a while so it'd take them off every now and again. Surprisingly it didn't give me migraines as I expected them to.
I saw them at a con years ago and I wanted them but they were so expensive! People were walking around and when they saw something they liked the ears did the interested movement it was so cool :o

You can also make Ahri's ears expressive, like how they can rotate down if sad, or perk up if alerted. Unlike Cosears, these respond to thoughts and emotions. A lot more lifelike.

I think it measures the muscle movements on your face/head. Usually you need 32-64 channels (EEG) to acquire accurate "brain waves".

I go anime conventions every year and there are few cosplayers who use those :3 Very cute and you can change the ear parts or make your own, so it doesn't have to be white, yay!
I have these. If you wear these for a while, the clip on your ear starts to hurt. I recommend taking off your earring(s) when wearing these. The little sensor sometimes make a little dent on your forehead.

At the start it did work when you relaxed, but when you decided to open your eyes it picket up that as you were focusing on one thing, so they uplifted when you opened your eyes? Dunno, just a suggestion.
I have one of these, and I need to mention how awesome it is. But they dont pick up on your FEELINGS or Mood, They pick up on your brainwaves. which us different. They definitely work. But some people have given bad reviews cause they had a notion that the necomimi read emotions, and then they claim they didn't work. Like Im never highly relaxed, or highly focused. Which makes sense. I only got high relaxation once cause someone asked me a question and my mind went blank for like 2 seconds. Cause my mind is always racing with like 20 thoughts at once. (ADHD) Which is why my brainwaves are never relaxed enough to get my ears to do that. When I wear mine they often do High Interest, And relax/focus. They work well, just be careful you don't break the clip that goes on your ear or they won't work. Be careful. You can also get different color ears to go with it. (They come with white.) I have red ears with black tips.
