      XE75 is very good, highly recommend that. Yes apparently TP Link is taking routers very seriously now

      I have the 2 pkt version of the tplink xe75 pro . I have the 1st tplink deo xe75 pro plugged into my telstra smart gen 2 router. I have the main tplink deco xe75 pro in accesspoint mode and telstra smart gen 2 router is dchp the 2nd tplink xe75 pro is not detecting the main xe75 pro or showing up in tplink deco android app.
      Did you have issues wth your deco xe75 pro 2 pack

      @@landpetI tested the BE85 for a month now and found that there were some drops here and there. Now i‘m using the Eero Max 7 and it just works. It‘s a bit slower than the Deco and costs more tho.

    This is insanely fast, wow! Is this with two 320MHz 4x4 6GHz channels between both Deco's or just one 320MHz 4x4 6GHz channel?
    Keep those local performance tests coming!

    It's worth it. Been using it since December. A big improvement over previous wifi 5 from ISP.

    Will the B 95 signal be stronger since it has more antennas than the b65. My b65 loses single and speed after around 20 feet.

    • @landpet

      It's better than the be95 but the be65 should be good also

    Good performance but to a certain extent a router like that is no where near necessary for now.

      Agree with you. My four XT12 Mesh nodes with UNII-4 backhaul w/out DFS totaly cover all kind of modern needs (including virtual machines backup, several 4K video streaming, Time machine backup, torrents, smart home devices, etc.). Utilization in hard cases (exclude VM backups) about 1/3 of XT12 performance possibilities. It hard for now to find real tasks for home use. Also, no one talk about the power consumption 😕

      You have a point which I rarely see. I'm running 2 XE85 Pros along with one X-6 and one X-50 outdoor unit. I'm thinking of putting the last 2 on smart switches and firing them up on a needed basis. Every little bit helps.@@ml12fin

    I think the the most fair tests of the Mesh system itself is with both server and client connected via Ethernet and the Backhaul being wireless. Especially for WiFi 7, because the maximum we get with clients is 2x2 and these mesh devices are capable of 4x4 (also on more and wider bands).

  • @Unnamed7964

    That's crazy, 8gbps wirelessly is unbelievable. I'd like to know exactly how those two deco's communicate, do they communicate through multi stream wifi 7 6ghz 320mhz with band aggregation? How exactly are those speeds achieved? I'd love a technical explanation if possible, thanks in advance

    • @landpet
      @landpet  6 месяцев назад +2

      They all kind of generally work the same with some caveats but my understanding for this one is that it does have a dedicated band just for backhaul but still can use all the other bands as well together which is called Multi-Link Operation (MLO). In fact, that's the big thing with WiFi 7 is the support for MLO, with previous wireless standards, backhaul was limited to one band only. With WiFi 7 it can actually connect to more than one band at the same time, obviously the new 320Mhz channel width helps as well.
      The crazy part is that if you have a wifi 7 device like a OnePlus 12 or Galaxy S24 Ultra (not a Pixel 8 or 8 Pro, I know they have wifi 7 but they don't support MLO for some reason), these devices when they connect, they can actually connect to multiple frequencies simultaneously hence why the wifi 7 speeds on the wifi 7 devices are also crazy fast compared to even the very fast wifi 6e devices.

    • @Unnamed7964
      @Unnamed7964 6 месяцев назад

      @@landpet thanks for the explanation! MLO is amazing, it's like MIMO technology but for bands instead of streams as far as i understand, it's undoubtedly a significant innovation that wifi 7 brings. I hope wifi 7 routers get cheaper overtime, they're still quite prohibitively expensive in my region, 550€ is the lowest the archer be800 goes for here (Italy)

    • @landpet

      @@Unnamed7964 no problem. They probably will get cheaper in the next year I would assume.

    Hello, perfect test protocol ! This is the way my PCs are connected in LAN on a Deco BE85 satellite wifi backhaul to main unit.
    I confirm without having Wifi 7 devices, i get insane LAN speed behind BE85 satellite in LAN.
    I will need to upgrade my ISP plan to get full power of these Deco BE85
    Thank you very much for your tests that convinced me to buy 3 BE85 units !
    BE63 vs BE85 vs BE95 tests would be a great test because i was thinking about BE63 in first place, but number of steams leads my to BE85.

    Who is your internet provider and how many G’s is your service? We have Google Fiber 2G and Spectrum 1G. Fastest Google has been mid 500s download and low 100s upload. Spectrum is about the same. I work from home and I am having pretty bad latency issues for our work phone system (Genesys) is where I am having majority of latency. Any recommendations? Will this system possible help?

    • @landpet
      @landpet  4 месяца назад +1

      I have frontier fiber.
      Sometimes it’s the router that’s not great, sometimes it’s the device you’re using that can’t go as fast, sometimes it’s both. This will help with overall coverage and speed but if your device isn’t as fast, then you’re limited there.
