Boy did that shop take advantage of him or what? But he did say he was impatient, and he’s not the kind of guy who likes to wait. So it’s kind of like, “If You’ve Got The Money Honey, We’ll Make The Time!” It still kind of ticks me off to see shops take advantage of people who don’t know much about old cars, and aren’t mechanically inclined at all.

Just some critique of the car.....
The fluid in the valleys of the intake manifold, is more then likely gas from the carburetor. A new carburetor to intake gasket would fix that. Unless the carburetor is leaking. Then a carburetor rebuild is in order. For oil to be in those places, it would be valve cover gaskets,
unless the intake manifold is cracked, or is not sealing. I have the same problem. For me, it's a carburetor gasket to the the intake.
So, is there any update on this car? Are you working on it? Is it in your shop for sale? Did you sell it already? If so, what was the price range?
