I don’t like 90% of the plants you love and showcase, but I love learning from your videos so much! While I am not a fan of the huge leaf fancy plants (that’s what I call the ones you mostly love lol) I use your info and apply it to the plants I have and I’ve gotten massive positive results thanks to you! You have an amazing personality and I love how truthful you are even if it goes against popular opinion of the moment. It’s because of that, I will keep watching your channel and doing what I can to support you! I wish I could go to one of Jonny’s events and see you, Claire (The Jungle Haven) and Jonny (Bearded plant guy) on a panel! I bet it would be so entertaining, informative and amazing! Sending love and support from the USA! Also, just noticed your sub count. I truly honestly thought you were one of the million plus creators due to your production value, amazing information in each video that usually takes a team to research and put together as well as how often you’re able to produce content. I often recommend you to new plant parents on Reddit. I haven’t found any content creators I enjoy as much that are from the USA vs Europe. Summer Rayne is more like upscale plant p0rn that doesn’t make it seem like anyone can care for plants unlike y’all from Europe which make it as easy for any type of person can be successful regardless of their financial position
Nice to see there is one begonia among the aroids in the background. It took some time but Kaylee finally did warm up to some types of begonias. The background plants are all stunning.
Rare Plant Index reboot would be delightful...maybe instead of by rarity, by another organization style- by arbitrary categories (size, leaf shape, color type, etc), A-Z, etc.. A general name like Houseplant Index AI: Aroid Index, Tropical Plant Index, or just the name of the ie "Scindapsus Index" or "Anthurium Hybrid Index" OR, deep dive videos into the history of a single plant...though that takes a lot more time for sure.

I've tried similar fiber poles that don't absorb any water and if the atmospheric humidity isn't high enough most species wont cling on and roots will dry out. I really prefer my DIY moss poles because I use a chunky mix inside, nearly the same as in the pot and its literally an extension of the pot. Normally roots reach the top of the moss pole faster than the stem 😂 about 12€ for a 2m tall moss pole.
Maybe rare plant index review. Like seeing the old video and reviewing the price, rarity and availability then vs now? Or maybe plant trends? Like what is becoming more popular?
I had some similar ones and found that if I bent them around too many times, the moss starts to fall off. It does look like there are more bands around these ones, that should help
Plants that you can't find in a garden store and are not widely circulated is my opinion of rare nowadays - not necessarily expensive. I like watching indexes, new buys/hauls, etc because I'm looking for plants that I've never heard of before that I might like. I don't care about expensive or not.
Hey girl I’m trying to order some plants from ur shop specially some plants from ur gothic video u posted months back. But everything on ur website and on ur Etsy is completely sold out?!? Is there an estimate time frame? I’m trying to get the philodendron majesty the black one and one of those dark dark anthuriums
I’ve been using very similar bendy real moss poles for a couple of years (got them on Amazon). The small ones have been great for Hoyas and the large ones for aroids. Definitely look more natural than many poles out there. Great video Kaylee, I’ve been watching your channel for a long time, thanks for all the planty info and inspiration!😀
Definitely want the rare plant index back, and agree with the comment saying to just call is xxxx plant index. So philodendron plant index for example. But I definitely want the homalomena one!!!
Yeah a homalomena plant index would be great. I'd like them to be sorted by ease of plant care rather than rarity. From beginner through intermediate to advanced/elite.
LOVE the curly moss poles! Oo I keep forgetting to type podcast ideas.... 1) true life ghost stories/unexplainable things that have happened to you and friends! Was originally going to suggest for Halloween, howevs is super fun for any time of year 2) the real deal of what it was like getting into/being in coding and tech on the day to day 3) The story of the first time you met Barry 4) An adventure you went on
I have had these poles for a few years. They’re ok.. Nothing spectacular though but my marble pothos has grown to the shape of the “s curve” that I made the pole
What’s happened to the warehouse? I don’t think Ive missed a video, but it’s possible 🤷♀️ I haven’t heard you address why you’re recording from home. Pretty in Green addressed having to close their greenhouse.
I really like those type of moss poles. I live in New Orleans, Louisiana and it’s so hot and humid that I keep a lot of my plants outside! I am terrified that pests will nest in the stuffed moss poles so I tend to stick to trellis or stakes. I do have a question.. My adonsonii is climbing on a stake and I can’t figure out for the life of me why it’s not sizing up. It has about 7-8 vines in the pot and the leaves are narrow and rotate between no or few fenestrations. It gets great light and I hardly ever miss a watering or fertilizing? What am I doing wrong? I am at a loss! How do I get the leaves to be more round and get more fenestrations?? Also, I am concerned about the aerial roots if I chop and prop it. Since they are on a trellis, a lot of them are obviously hard and dry but still alive!Should I cut them back before putting them in water so they don’t rot, or do you think they will be fine? I just want to say that I don’t think you understand just how essential you are to my plant knowledge and care! Thank you for everything you do Kaylee! ❤
@ so, it’s actually on a trellis right now, about 3 ft tall. I plan on putting it on a pole but I want to start it over first. I’m going to cut it all back into node cuttings but what I’m worried about propping those already established trellis aerial roots. I’m afraid they will rot if I stick them straight in water.
@@jpgypsyxo If you’re going to start it over from node cuttings the existing aerial roots are insignificant. I wouldn’t necessarily cut them off it they’re sprouting from a node. They’ll grow more roots. If it’s a healthy root, being in water won’t harm them. Good luck 🍀
@ thank you! I’ve asked so many people and no one ever responds. It’s a huge pet peeve of mine.
