Did you know Cuzco is a town built by the incan natives but then the spanish came and conquered in the name of Catholicism. There are colonial churches there built on the stone structures of native construction. It was most likely a time of brutality that sweeped that area, sadly. Either way that is the history of Peru. The people embrace both cultures. We are all quite mixed up ! That's what makes us beautiful- you as well.

The rocks absorb the negativity held in his body, it's also being used to ground him in his physical body to help him feel safe. The major chakra centers have cords on them. Whenever we form relationships with other people we create an energetic cord with them. If your relationship is loving, cords are attached at the heart center. This is usually for family, friends, lovers, pets. If your relationship is based on competition, power, and self worth--they attach at the solar plexus. The knives the shaman uses are being used to cut away any cords that no longer serve Tony for his highest good.

I think whatever he was battling was under his skin for sometime now. This video clearly shows him open to this shaman ritual of Peru without any hesitation...as if he really seemed open to anything at that point. the only sucky part about this one episode is that its only a 1 hour show, and everything Bourdain ate in Peru is not even NEARLY a 1/3 of the many differente dishes we have in Peru. Still i think he ate much better on this show then on his No Reservations trip to Peru a few years back ! :)
