Fantastic performance. I always feel when I watch any organist play at St.Sulpice, that I don’t know whether to concentrate on observing their performance or the intense support given them by Daniel Roth, who doesn’t appear to miss a trick.

Johannes is as cool as they come as he's performing. He has probably practiced these pieces so many times that he almost has them memorized. That certainly builds your confidence. Watch as he is playing - he's all over the keyboards, knows exactly where to go to play the next chord. He is incredibly composed during the whole performance. BRAVO!

Gratidão imensa por ter documentado essas audições. Estou mal acostumada. Só consigo ouvir esse órgão... nenhum outro...

Bravo! All brilliantly played. Johannes Skoog is an organist to watch out for and hopefully will perform, record and compose in the future on the public stage. Nice touch with the vignette from George Baker in Texas whom I remember from the concert at SS in honor of Marie-Claire Alain. I liked the photos and paintings shown in between the pieces performed. If I'm not mistaken there was a photo of a very young Daniel Roth standing next to Marcel Dupre! Thanks once again to Daniel Roth and Pierre Francois Dub-Attenti and the rest of the SS team for the work in assisting the organist, setting up the concert and streaming it. This is cutting edge in the classical music world and your fans across the world grow every day

Thank you again for allowing us to be part of the audience. I thought the Dupre was fabulous and I believe it was Debussy who said the aim of French music was to give pleasure, I have never heard Debussy on the organ before it was certainly a pleasure to listen to even though at 2200 a sweltering 30c in Adelaide.

Thank you for making available this performance by a young talented musician. High quality audio & video as well.
Please be aware, for about one minute at the start of both Dupre & Debussy, the video has a stop-motion defect but the audio has no problem.

Il a appris, aussi avec Daniel ROTH.
A 30 ans, seulement, il joue sur la belle console en arc de cercle du grand orgue de St Sulpice, signé Aristide CAVAILLE-COLL.

New audio equipment? I felt the 32' stops quite definitely. And the video of Dupré at St Sulpice (please tell me that there is sound with it)!

Toca muito bem, parabéns! Soube escolher uma composição que explora as potencialidades do órgão do St. Sulpice, que é excelente, e teve como examinador um dos íconis da música clássica, Daniel Roth. Merci, thank you, obrigado!

So wonderful! But I would be irritated by Master Roth and the others speaking. How come?

It's because of the registrations! They were amazing, but they had to talk otherwise it's way to dangerous.

What was the jacket he was wearing with the lapel called? Or is that a black scarf? Thanks!
