It all depends on what you want out of your looper... I've owned a Boss Rc-20, a Digitech Jamman and I'm currently running loops through the M9. I chose the M9 because of the high quality onboard effects and looping combined for the price. I rarely use more than one phrase, so this was a shoe in for me. I highly recommend the Jamman over anything else if you're not interested in the effects of the M9.
@Riverdale270 No, it doesn't change at all. It just seems so because the I am standing very close to the camera microphone when I am playing the first time, whereas the loop is being played through my amp, farther away. Because the camera microphone is picking up the acoustic sound from my strings, it seems to sound different, but what is coming through the actual amp when the loop is going sounds exactly the same as when I play it the first time. Hope that makes sense.
@prabowoputra If you run the M9 through the effects loop, then when you record the loop naturally clean, it should keep that clean signal when you switch over to distortion.
Hi Robert I am a bassplayer and use the stompbox to create environments, did not find something similar for my bass, so I decided to experiment and m like what can be created ... thanks for your help, if pudes put a vieo of explanation about how to handle the scenes. the way the scenes, thank you very much .. ciao and thanks
@prabowoputra Yes I was going to say, but ran out of text space - it is a bit of a faff on... though unfortunately it's the only real solution for me I can think of, unless I want to completely change my entire amp/effects set up - which I don't. Annoyingly still is that you'd think having an amp and a looper both from line 6 would ensure compatibility - but no! You should probably do some research about where to put your looper in the line. I'm still trying to decide which looper to buy! x
Hey there, great demo! I was just wondering if you could start the loop again after stopping it, or is the loop lost completely once you stop it? And I'm not talking about saving the loop, just turning it back on again after stopping it. The DL4 can do it. Cheers!
Hi, is it possible to combine the looper with natural sound from my amp? Example, i use clean channel from my amp to built the basic loop, and then switch to dirty channel to jam over the loop. Won't the loop also become distorted?
@prabowoputra Hi. I've done research into various loopers, and I've come up against the same issue you're having. Apparently if your amp has send and return inputs, then you can get round the problem. In my case my amp effects are inbuilt (line 6) and I've asked on forums and apparently the only way i can use my amp effects without distorting the loop (as per your eg.) is by sending the signal from the amp (via the output) and into the looper, and then connecting the looper to a second amp....
@winterjargon Wow that's a very unpractical solution.. lucky my amp has effects loop, i figure i should loop not the signal from the guitar, but the one from preamp section (where the dirt come from) into the (still clean) power amp.. This might not work though if you crank the volume/power amp into overdrive.. I wonder why this issue has not been addressed much.. Btw thank you for the reply..!
i bought a rc300 and i played it for 5 minutes and hated it. killed me tone. i was disgusted. i am looking for a looper that doesn't alter or "kill" my tone. anybody?

The M9 has a fantastic looper on it... I also use the RC-2 with the M9 for ambient pleasures, of sorts... Nice demo.

Yes, you can start the loop again.
Awesome demo. Thanks so much.

@rotren Ahhhh yes I understand. Well that's great! Have been looking for a good loop station for quite a while now. Thanks!
the Boomerang III uses digital sampling and the sound quality is supposed to be pretty good. check out some clips on RUclips if you're curious.

2:40 What a great tone!!!! Damn!
I still be wondering how did you record the second rhythm session.
Need the odub button be pressed?

nice demo... but the tone changes much when you stop playing for real and let the loop take over, no?
Does the m5 also has this loop feature?

Does this line6 have a bypass as an option to choose from within all the different pedals?
would you run this looper through the front of the amp or through the efx loop?
@Fileno93 No, its different.
is it plastic???
How much does the M9 go for?
350 USD
