    I recently helped a wheel chair bound disabled gentleman chauffeuring him to his errands in his retrofitted Van for a 6 hour period. To him, the pandemic was the best thing to happen to his life because he now has the opportunity to work from home forever without a commute as an IT Support Agent . Indeed disablity is not inability he was such a subject matter expert in his field from the conversation i had with him. God bless the disabled people. 🙏

    People with disabilities should work at any job that they want to, and employees should not judge them.

    They make them work for less than minimum wage and for free as interns? So the rich owners of the businesses are getting free labour off of disabled people? That's messed up. Pay living wages.

    • @chownful
      @chownful Год назад +12

      It is a 4 week internship and it's not unheard of for internships to be unpaid, especially given the circumstances (e.g he knows nothing about cars). Honestly I think doing this would probably end up costing the business owner (not sure why you assume they are rich).
      It'd be easier for them to just hire someone that they wouldn't have to train so much.

    Here in Canada, I have witnessed myself employees who are supposed to help disabled people get and keep jobs, they help employers instead and abuse the system to make more money for the companies. The subsidies paid by the government were used to save the companies money and not to help and integrate the disabled. Disabled people just want to love, be loved and belong, just like everyone else 😢
