Louis can you please also make a video of calculations on approximately how much will you need to have on easy properties to receive a rental dividend of R12000 quarterly?
Hello Louis I'm also a subscriber on your channel. Can you please make a video explaining the calculation of how much must I have on my easy properties portfolio to receive a rental dividend of R16000 quarterly.?
Hey there, You can only sell the property when it's on auction. You can google "easy properties Auction calendar" to see the auction dates. Use this link to see how the exact process works : support.easyproperties.co.za/support/solutions/articles/13000085805-buying-and-selling-in-auctions
Remember that some companies pay out dividends quarterly or even once a year. To calculate the dividend yield (im assuming this is what you want to know), you can divide the annual DPS (dividend per share) with the price of the stock.🚀
Great question ! Its difficult to say exactly. It might happen once the deal is funded 100%( this happened with my investment) or only after 5 years after the investment period is finished. Im not sure if it can happen with a auction or not.
Louis , i have a mixed portfolio for wife and kids and across 6 accounts theres investment in several and in all honesty i think only balito paid a dividend and im invested well over 12 months. Also i feel these guys are not transparent enough.
Thanks for sharing. I think it would be beneficial to watch this video : ruclips.net/video/ubGvuzf0Mdc/видео.html I am still invested im the platform but have stopped contributing for a few different reasons.
Good questions, for long term the IRR will matter more. The net yield will be for cashflow. If you can buy one that has a large Net yield & IRR that would be great. Otherwise you can look for a higher Net yield
If I wanna invest R500 for an example on a certain property, is there an extra amount I need to add for costs or do I just invest the exact amount? And if the due date reaches and not 100% has been reached, does EP return my initial investment after the date?
Yes, you can invest rhe R500. The platform should automatically calculate the extra cost. You will be able to see this just before you confirm your transaction. I always try to buy a Property that is funded around 50%-70% to have some certainty that it will reaxh the 100% mark. If they dont reach the 100% by the due date they have the option to extend the IPO otherwise they will refund your full R500 within 2 weeks. Hope this helps.
Hi I have a question about easy equities. How does the tax year thing work and must you do anything at the end of it or can I just hold my stocks and do nothing?
Tax can be different for each individual depending on your situation. If you invest in easy equities and don't sell any of your stocks you dont have to pay any tax. The platform does however provide you with a statement that you can use to prove this to SARS. If you do sell a stock for a profit or a loss you need to declare this to SARS.
@@clecsty7508 It depends on what the profit was that you made. It also depends if you are registered for income tax ( do you have a tax nr.) Are you younger than 18 years? Did you exceed the tax threshold These factors will all determine whether or not you should pay tax. Because I dont understand your situation I cant give exact advice. It is best to consult with a tax practitioner or a accountant that understands your situation or read up on it a bit to get a better understanding. In some cases your parents can include it in their tax return
Nope definitely not in my opinion. Check ou my latest video aboit easy properties then you will understand why. ruclips.net/video/ubGvuzf0Mdc/видео.html
Hey man, So Basically the dividend withholding tax is the Tax that is deducted when you receive a dividend. Have a look on your easy properties account under "transactions" you should see something like "account balance brought forward" that will show how much you received after the tax was deducted. (You can then also check what your "funds to invest " shows) Just check above the dividend withholding tax to see the dividend that was paid. Hope this helps 💪🏻
It can go up depending on all the factors. As the years go by they MIght increase rent which means your return can be more. We just have to note that expenses go up aswell such as rates and taxes and levies.

You are definitely not wrong, the owners of the company and the properties are the ones that make alot of money. They are however also the ones that takes on all the risk and work. If you invest R10 000 it definitely wont make you rich, especially not with dividends. It does however give average South africans that want to invest money and not just save money the possibility to grow their money quicker than with normal savings. Many years ago it was impossible to invest in fractional shares or buy shares in properties( Most lower income people can't afford buying brick and mortar properties).
