In this clip, legendary Comedian Tommy Davidson talks about co-starring with Halle Berry in "Strictly Business." This was Halle Berry's first lead role in a feature film, therefore Davidson explains that the executive producers assigned him the role of mentoring her and preparing her for on-camera work. The 58-year-old indicates that many people in his position would have taken advantage of working in such close proximity with the young actress but he maintained his professionalism. He also revealed that his wife, at the time, knew Halle Berry when they competed against one another in beauty pageants and they were not very fond of one another.

I think that was Halle Berry's first "starring" role, in a movie. However, her FIRST movie was actually "Jungle Fever".

Both movies came out the same year, but "Jungle Fever" came out in the Summer, and "Strictly Business" during the Holiday Season. Halle has mentioned several times, being in a Spike Lee movie...opened doors for her in other movie roles. By the way, I was referring to Vlad saying it was her "very first movie role"...not Tommy's response. 🙂
