Great video, but I would have liked it to have a 360 degree pan servo rather than a regular off the shelf 180, especially for that crazy price.. Everything I use pan and tilt on needs to have rear view as I want to be able to look straight back, and that includes ground vehicles, boats and aircraft. Cheers and thanks for posting.
I have been told it's a pain to mount the Camera then connect it all together, is that why you didn't bother in this video. however it dose look like a well made bit of kit. Good review Lee
I dont think its tace more then 1min to mounte camera and module on a airplane ore droner,, this is a new one and looks better in construction... Best regards from sweden
there should be a set including roll and ready to also hold the board of a runcam split, caddx turtle or similar. just so you could add stabilisation and head tracking hd cam to any device on the cheap
Is there a way to send the same "reset to zero" signal from open tx that the button on the goggles sends? I can't wrap my head around it. In other words "this position is forward and level" from the momentary switch of the Taranis.
I would like to see a vid on step by step install on a plane. I have no idea which camera and how to connect it. I dont understand if I need to buy one with the antenna already built on the cam or not. Also need setup for plane and glider. Thanks
On the subject of Quanum camera holders - avoid the Quanum Single Axis Gimbal with Camera like the plague. Bought one nearly 2 years ago, interference lines in the camera, replacement was no better, the gimbal electronics are the cause. Also, it's ability to keep level when yawing is abysmal, I had to keep manually adjusting the angle with a dial on my TX to try and keep its tilt angle steady. I can't believe they're still trying to sell it 2 years on. Oh and the tiny button to change modes is nearly impossible to press, which it conveniently forgets when you power it off, I think I broke the button on one of them trying to stab it with a 1.5mm hex driver.
is there going to be a followup to this ? i'm very intrigued. hope you'd mount it to a quad and not trying to get everything out of view. because you still have to keep track of thrust direction. I'd have it in a dom like sitting in a cockpit.
Design flaw? Why is the "lip" for the pan servo plastic mount on the bottom? If I wish to sink the servo in my FPV camera deck for low profile it looks like I would either have to trim the plastic or make a bigger hole and deal with slop.
Can you do a video on how to configure this to work with a Taranis and goggles? I have this device and cannot get this thing working... I’m trying to use trainer mode and just can’t figure it out and there are not many tutorials out there. Great channel!
@@Painless360 fingers crossed. I'm a local small business supporter.. Having trouble with firm ware for h743 wing fc.. mission control.. ardupilot.. confusing.. $10 ones on Amazon with plastic gear servos, and $12 ones on BangGood with two MG servos. Also Thingiverse has easy to print solutions for MG90 servos. Sorry this HobbyKing one is a rip-off. Hard pass
Not particularly cheap but the hassle-saving over building your own system makes it worth looking at. Especially for the newer user.. I like it
Exactly, for those not willing to spend days tinkering with a 3d printer and design software this is a great option! :D

Check out Fpvgadgets.com . They have a pan tilt system that can do 360° . You just need to mod it a little with a slip ring .
I bought the one from the big spitfire they sell as a spare and it's very nice quality for about 18 squid!!
love it.tech gets better and better.
I was looking for something like this, glad you got it and did a review now I know what to get and where to get it.
Thanks again for being awesome
Rob
Thank you I have been looking for a kit to get for my Glider. I like how you get everything in one package.
Wow, it really looks nice, Lee! 😃
On a fixed wing it should be great! Or even on a rc car! 😃
Great video once again, J3 Cub from HK is perfect for this pan and tilt 👌
Keep up the great reviews 👍

Nice stuff, I just bought some last week.. 🙏
Thanks, looking forward to more vids on this matter.

A video (series) about wireing and programming with a flightcontroller (vector, inav) and openTX would be nice. :)
OpenTX already done.. :)
What is the difference between Servo operated Gimbal which comes ready made & this...???

I've used it in the latest iNav and Bixler Build.. Works well..
Runcam Spliff? 4:18
runcam swift
That's a really good range! 270 degree pan?

Or mount it from underneath? ;)
Ahh simpel and good qvalitet,,, come to one next time i order from hobby-king,,,best regards from sweden,,, today warm and perfekt to fly rc model
Happy flying!
Great review. I wonder if this would be suitable for something like a RunCam Split Mini with the board attached to the back of the tilt servo
I'm curious about this also, would be awesome if it was
That should work fine with a bit of work..

Already done. Google ‘headtracker painless360’ to find them...
How do we get a 3d print of it
Do you have a vid showing how to set these up with a head tracker?
I do - links in the video.. happy flying!
masha Allah... thank you for the review brother 😉
you got any videos or suggestions for setting up a static camera in a nadir configuration?
I've not heard of that. What's Nadir?

I see! Check out the 'Big Boys Toys' playlist - things about this in there..
What do you recommend for good quality servos?
EMAX and the other brands.. Happy flying
Great content as usual..was the name of the device you used to center the servos ?
Servo checker..
@@Painless360 Thanks.
Would this work to stabilise a runcam split on a quad?
Not really as the servos are not fast or smooth enough.. gimbals like that don't use servos for that reason..
how do you control it mate
It's just two servos. See my head tracker and INav Bixler Build where I use it... Happy flying
@@Painless360 yes but can i use my rc wheel tupe transmitter or do i need a tarnis with switches
Out of stock?? 💪💪👊👊
Like lots of things at HK at the moment, they do seen to be getting some things back into stock so fingers crossed..
