Fantastic Jules! 😁 This video has inspired me to get the 14 set of the Pan Paperbacks. I have a few from my mother, who read them back in the 60's! I just today bought a second edition Live and Let Die in good condition for $38 Australian. Never seen that Dr No cover before! Amazing artwork! 😍
These are great, but watch out for shipping charges outside of the UK as it get very pricey even to just order one. Shipping rates are so ridiculous everywhere now, I can't afford to buy any of these. Very enviable Bond collection!
Great . Protect the book from the elements and insects 😢 ( don't ask 😂) And the books look great . Also great that you can customize the case .How do they hold up against scratches .
Almost seems like a better design would be like the old tape cassette boxes with the hinged door. That would allow for a more rigid, boxier design that would also be easier to get the books in and out of. Just a thought.
@@kchastain3 I believe they have been made this way is such that the dimensions can be easily adjusted and be more in line with the action figure cases DC produce.
Stunning copies of the Bonds and the cases, well you can't be more protective than that. Do they increase the shelf space needed, albeit very marginally? I'm missing that Conan book. Who's the publisher? Great vid, thanks!
Thanks, been upgrading my copies for many years now, always room for improvers though. Each side of the case is about a mm thick so a shelf full might add about a cm. The Conan is an Ace Double, USA issue.
One method, that has worked for me is to pop the book in a microwave for a few seconds, softening the glue of the spine. Then, bend it back into shape and keep in place using bulldog clips. This worked on my copy of MWTGG.
Fun! I recently got my Pan and Signet 007 paperbacks out of storage, as well, and was wondering about upgrading from the traditional bags. I'd be a little nervous about inserting those final edge flaps and trying not to put pressure on the edge of the covers. But you've had no issues? I wonder if a company makes hard acrylic cases like this for paperbacks. I guess with all the subtle size variations it would be a complicated affair to manufacture them. I'll email Deflector DC and see about trying these out. Thanks, Jules! -Jason (SPY VIBE)
Thanks Jason. I personally haven't had any issues getting that end flap tucked in safely. You need to be careful of course. Contact Deflector DC and see what they say. They can do hardbacks as well of course.
Those cases are superb. The books look lovely in them.❤😊
They are outstanding, I want to do all my books now!
Wonderful. Thank you.
Thanks my friend 🙂👍

That's cool, I have my pan Agatha Christie's that I think need protection. I will check it out.
Worth protecting your favourite/more valuable books.
@@JulesBurt yes, I am looking at the page, and trying to figure when I can afford it.

Regarding the new channel (congrats!) I'm interested in methods to tackle rolled paperback spines. Thanks :)

Wow!
Wow indeed!

seem impressive , how well will they hold up to scratches and repeated opening and closing ?
No issues at all so far. I have swapped quite a few around without issue.
I think you've just cost the Outlaw Bookseller a lot of money!
Has Steve said he wants some now?
@@JulesBurt Think of the money he'll save on plinths!
True, but he's got an awful lot of books🙂
