These are ALL amazing ideas girl! I do have one piece of advice that I thought might help others. Before placing your clay into the bowl that you're using as a mold, lay the clay flat on perfectly flat cling wrap. That allows the bottom of the clay to kind of adhere to the cling wrap, so that you avoid it wrinkling whilst doing it the opposite was as you did in the video 😁 hope this helps you or some of your viewers get a cleaner bottom on their trinket dishes!

I’ve used, stamps, cake decorator things, lace, doily’s, real pine needles, small leaves but I did Christmas cookie cutters to cut them out. I’ve added lil gems, pearl beads. Some sold really well some didn’t. I use a very thin spatula to lift up my ornaments.

I've been having more fun searching the house for things I can make clay molds out of - drawer knobs/pulls off of antique furniture and some vintage ones that I collected over the years. I look for things at the thrift store that have a pretty design that I can press clay on. Love it!

I love this video Deidre, I’ve only just started using air dry clay so this video is fantastic for me. I’ve been wanting to make some small little trinket/key bowls and I love the way yours turned out. I’ll definitely be trying them now and I’ve been going to make my own beads but haven’t done it yet. I will be doing some of them too. Thanks for the inspiration. TFS with everyone.

Thank you for this great video. You're absolutely right, there are so many things in our kitchens that we can use in craft projects. I use cookie cutters, especially the ones I've got in the shape of numbers from 0 to 9. They're great for cutting out the number 13 or 31 for Halloween. And one time I wanted to put an IOD Transfer on a piece of fabric and, in a drawer in my kitchen, I found a big roll of white napkins that I bought years ago that look like they're made of fabric, but are meant to be used and then disposed of. And they were perfect for painting and applying the transfers to. I used Air Dry Clay in an IOD mold to make some frames for them and they turned out really well. You could do the same thing with any light coloured cotton like fabric, and you can seal the transfers with Mod Podge or any sealant. Love from Amanda Jones in Australia ❤

The jug is awesome, worth all the work you put into it. Most if the clay imprints are in your other video, but I did pick up a few new ideas. I’d like to try your silicone molds. I’ve already made your paints and clay, which I loved and lasted a long time. I’ve also learned that my IPad will reverse my graphics I made with an ink jet printer, but I took them to Staples to reprint with a laser jet printer. I could see the difference in color sharpness and depth, but anxious to decoupage them on wood to get a better outcome. You make me go outside the box and so glad you do.

These are great ideas for kids projects in grade school, summer camp or Sunday school craft days. The stamps are the best ones in my opinion but I do encourage the creative thought process of looking for new patterns and ideas. I would have turned your first feaux greenery leaf over after doing the seams on the back and tried to get the leaf impression too and it would have looked like a tree.
I feel that I must be honest and I'm not doing this to be discouraging or negative, simply to be honest and in hopes that it will motivate the furthering of any beginners out there to advance their creative projects well past these ideas. Please know that I mean this only constructively, these projects are the things I find in dumpsters, literally ALL THE TIME (yes, I dumpster dive because people throw away all kinds of things that are still usable, expensive to buy, and things I use in my creative projects, why should that go full up a landfill while I go without or sacrifice more important expenses to indulge my creative nature? It shouldn't, that's stupid.) so I think people are being nice and pretending they like the gift and throwing it away. Clay is very hard to turn into a classy decoration or jewelry that people want to keep, display, use. I think it had its day in the 70s and early 80s.

I have a question, I was gifted one of those vintage ceramic christmas trees. I didn't care for that dark green glaze, so I sprayed it white, love it, the bottom of the largest piece of the tree is broken about the opening where the light goes in, it is a triangle of ceramic missing, can I use air dried clay to fill in that space? it isn't a weight baring place, and you can't see the brake but would love to repair it so it won't get worse, if not air dry clay what product do you suggest I use? thank you, first time viewer.
