Why did Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas get to be better than Aladdin and Aladdin 2: The Return Of Jafar and Aladdin 3: Aladdin And The King Of Thieves and the Tim Allen The Santa Clause videos?
Aladdin was one of my favorites growing up, but NBC was just in a league of its own! 1st Motion stop feature film, excellent story, excellent composer in Danny Elfman, etc. It hit a certain tone that had never been touched on in a mainstream kids film. It was allowed to be dark and grim and non-apologetic for it. Saw it in the theaters and love it immediately!
