I absolutely loved the first season of Heroes. After the writers’ strike wrecked the second season, it never recovered at all. Even my favorite character, Matt Parkman, stayed on way too long.
It wasn’t that The Sopranos “couldn’t finish”, it’s that it didn’t give closure. Lost was years of my life I’ll never get back! Other notably bad ways of “not finishing”…. “GLOW” (which was an AWESOME series), “Married…With Children”, “Carnivale”, and “The Walking Dead”.
I missed Star Trek: Enterprise, Superman: the adventures of Lois and Clark, Charmed and Quantum Leap on that list. Another famous example, even though it was a foreign show for the US was Fantaghiro.
I've never seen Game of Thrones myself, but because of how Daenerys' story ends, I'm not sure I even wanna give it a chance. I mean, What if Aang or Korra became the villain of their shows?
Here's one = Top 10 Disney Channel series with an unsatisfying cliffhanger series finale. #1 = Hailey's On It #2 = Pretty Freakin Scary #3 = Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion
Couple of pointers: 1. Don't stretch out your seasons for the sake of unnecessary filler that contributes nothing to the storyline. 2. Don't allow major characters to hook up for a side plot unless you plan to settle those characters into a family at the end of your story.
Networks continuing shows WAY past their due date. You end up getting story lines that are dumb and an insult to long time viewers. Shows that stayed to long vs. shows that should have stayed longer
Yes, the ending of Dexter was bad, but it feels like people are judging the entire series on that final season. I don't get that. For me Dexter is one of the best series ever mad. It had such an intense atmosphere.
Honestly tho who would you guys have picked to be the ruler of westeros? Bran is one of the best pick. Jon going north of the wall make sense, sansa being queen of the north make sense. The ONLY one other than bran that make sense is Gendry because he would be the rightful heir to the throne. But they chose to stop the king by blood and went for a 'democracy' route.
WCW Monday Night Nitro (1995-2001) Sucks That 83 weeks was all that show could muster I like WWF/WWE content but I really hated the Edgy Car Crash TV aspect of WWF Monday Night Raw (1993-) not to my liking
Another show that could be on this list is Manifest. It started out super interesting in the first season or two but they obviously had no idea where to go with it and it just got dumber and more boring until the lame end…..
Once Upon a Time should have finished when Swan left. It would have been prefect. Prison Break had the amazing season one, and then it steadily declined, until that murder twist, when it just went of a cliff
How I met your mother. Was I the only one to figure out she was dead from the first episode. It is clear the kids don't know their mom. And ted was telling the story to get permission to date again. Also, when did the kids have time for friends or school. Because if they left the couch, they probably would not keep coming back.
They couldn't bring Dexter to a satisfactory finish in 2 entire shows now they're making 2 more spinoffs just to make amends for the previous 2 shows awful endings. I wonder how many spinoffs it will take to get 1 ending right
The sad thing about Dexter: New Blood was that the original idea for the finale was gonna be better. Dexter was going to be sentenced to death, but that whole episode he was going to be visited by the ghosts of his past, and the final scene was him being lethally injected and all the major characters that died by his hand including Harry, Debra, and Maria all come back for one final torment. How could would that have been?
I had absolutely no interest in any of these shows including how it started / finished; Cause I considered them complete Dumpster Fires with no purpose to be a TV Shows regardless of content / description / premise of said show
HIMYM RUINED itself!!! Yes, quality was not great in the last few seasons, but Barney and Robin were great together. Tracy dying and Ted "returning" to Robin DID RUIN THE SHOW!!! I can't believe that was the original idea all along. Seek out the alternate ending on line. Barney and Robin still divorce, but Tracy does NOT die and Ted remains married to her. It's not perfect, but it IS better than what was aired. Also, to cancel the How I Met Your Father spinoff/reboot, and not get even a sliver of an answer of who the father is, is so wrong!!! (Personally I think it's Sid. He and Sophie had great chemistry from the very beginning.) Jmho
I had to stop when you announced the #1 pick on the list cuz I just got "Game of Thrones" in the mail for my husband and I to watch! 😅 I watched "Lost" from the first to the last episode and I was pissed 😡 at how they ended that one! It was almost as if they literally ran out of ideas! It was a bummer for sure!!
Even the intro song was better in the first season of That 70s Show 😂😂😂 But let's be real, the show started to die in season 6. They were not even in school anymore. Funny thing: now its spin-off was cancelled too, so the audience will never have closure. They intended to mend the **** they did during season 8 and ended up making it worse.
Once Upon A Time, i lost track during the early part of season 6 when they introduced captain Nemo, i later tried to get back to it, only to not do so, as i learned that season 7 (the show's last) all main characters were replaced, and it was more of a "so and so many years later" thing.
Add Battlestar Galactica to this list. By season 3 they were just wingin' it, and it ended after season 4 with a thud. Dishonourable mention: Star Trek: Enterprise, which was cranking out good episodes but its finale is widely regarded as one of the worst ever.
Star Trek: Enterprise - the show finally got its footing right after fans left in droves. Then, as if they knew that it wouldn't be back again, they put together a capstone that undid everything course correction they made in the last few seasons.
I just finished watched Game Of Thrones for the first time only a few days ago, and I agree with the last season not being as good. There were plenty of things that would have made it better, like Brian's character not being so god damn boring and lifeless, to the show following what they had been saying throughout which is a good king is a king who doesn't want to be king, meaning John Snow who didn't want to be king should have became the king at the end, and the fact his true name was never revealed to everyone and was instead imprisoned then sent to the Night's Watch, and Bran was made king for some reason. Also hated how little attention and screen time the Dire Wolves got. You would think the house with the Dire Wolf sigil would maybe give their Dire Wolves a little more attention and interact with them more often, but for the entire show they might have only 10 minutes of screen time total, if that. Then there is the scenes that really frustrated me which was Arya running around King's Landing while Drogon was laying waste to the city. We get it, there is a lot of death and destruction going on, but we really didn't need to see Arya going through all that for like 20 minutes when there was more interesting things that should have been seen more. Her scenes after only a few minutes really slowed down the episode for no real reason other then to pad out the episode length. Don't get me wrong, the show was really good, I greatly enjoyed being watching from the start of season 1 to the end of season 8, it just could have been a little better, mainly in the final season.

Legends of tomorrow 2016-2023
I absolutely loved the first season of Heroes. After the writers’ strike wrecked the second season, it never recovered at all. Even my favorite character, Matt Parkman, stayed on way too long.
I just rewatched Lost this month. Best show ever. All the way through. The ending was fantastic. I don’t know what people were expecting.
Game of Thrones’ final season is the biggest letdown in television history
It wasn’t that The Sopranos “couldn’t finish”, it’s that it didn’t give closure. Lost was years of my life I’ll never get back! Other notably bad ways of “not finishing”…. “GLOW” (which was an AWESOME series), “Married…With Children”, “Carnivale”, and “The Walking Dead”.
Glow deserved a proper ending
HUGE fan of Dexter and loved how it kept me hooked with every episode, but after a while the quality started going downhill.
Lo and behold, the ending of _Game of Thrones_ appears once more.
It's the "I Will Always Love You" of TV show endings.
Shame!
I missed Star Trek: Enterprise, Superman: the adventures of Lois and Clark, Charmed and Quantum Leap on that list. Another famous example, even though it was a foreign show for the US was Fantaghiro.
Only reason GOT had a bad ending was cuz the author didn’t come out with a book in time.
In time? He still hasn’t come out with Winds of Winter!
@@Phanthief95 and most likely NEVER will.
I head other reasons
I tend to agree. As much as I dislike Benioff and Weiss, in their defense, they signed on to *_adapt_* GRRM's book series - not complete it.
I actually liked Roseanne, I just didn't like the way it all ended.
This list GOT me emotional
I've never seen Game of Thrones myself, but because of how Daenerys' story ends, I'm not sure I even wanna give it a chance. I mean, What if Aang or Korra became the villain of their shows?
Yup, Lost and GoT deserve those spots
Here's one = Top 10 Disney Channel series with an unsatisfying cliffhanger series finale.
#1 = Hailey's On It

Dexter is my all time favorite show that ended so bad
Couple of pointers:
1. Don't stretch out your seasons for the sake of unnecessary filler that contributes nothing to the storyline.
2. Don't allow major characters to hook up for a side plot unless you plan to settle those characters into a family at the end of your story.
Weeds started well but went off the rails and we never finished it.
Very true! Started out addictive, then got boring
Prison break....and a whole bunch of various anime series
Networks continuing shows WAY past their due date. You end up getting story lines that are dumb and an insult to long time viewers. Shows that stayed to long vs. shows that should have stayed longer
"The Flash" and "Modern Family" are two that I watched but gave up on
Supernatural, fight me 🤣
I wanted Sam and Cat to resolve the issue that Cat went to jail in the last episode
Yes, the ending of Dexter was bad, but it feels like people are judging the entire series on that final season. I don't get that. For me Dexter is one of the best series ever mad. It had such an intense atmosphere.

Lost is the goat no matter what, there is nothing like it
I defend Lost and it's ending til my dying days. You honestly thought a show about mysteries would wrap up nice?
I agree Eric leaving really should have been that 70s final season. The 8th season was just very forced .
WCW Monday Night Nitro (1995-2001) Sucks That 83 weeks was all that show could muster I like WWF/WWE content but I really hated the Edgy Car Crash TV aspect of WWF Monday Night Raw (1993-) not to my liking
Thats 70s show was perfect. Wouldnt change a thing
The only shows I liked on this list are the classic Roseanne episodes and Dexter.
LOST started out strong but either the writers ran out of ideas or just said screw it because that ending was absolute garbage.
Don't finish what they started
ICarly Revival due to the multiple cliffhangers at the end of the last season
Another show that could be on this list is Manifest. It started out super interesting in the first season or two but they obviously had no idea where to go with it and it just got dumber and more boring until the lame end…..
Once Upon a Time should have finished when Swan left. It would have been prefect.
Prison Break had the amazing season one, and then it steadily declined, until that murder twist, when it just went of a cliff
I felt like Hannibal missed some great opportunities and ended too abruptly. The whole final season was forgettable as a consequence.
Feel like I'm the only one who remembers flashforward. Such a good concept 😔
That and colony

WESTWORLD

season 9 of roseanne was her giving the middle finger the studio execs who were meddling for years...
The sad thing about Dexter: New Blood was that the original idea for the finale was gonna be better. Lost really lost
I don't think it's the shows fault... It was just some bullcrap executive meddling!
Most seasons of American Horror Story
Ozark
24 bounced back with season 8 & Live Another Day. It shouldn't be here.
Marvelous Mrs.Maisel - had an amazing start then dipped to mediocrity shortly after
In retrospect…. Game of Thrones was so big, so complex… it was destined to fail.
Do the same thing for cartoons
I just came here to dislike this video because of the moronic Lost slander, and then I'm out...
Calling Season 8 a "step down" is like calling the Marianas Trench a "concavity".
Wait What lost had a end?
Tons and Tons of Anime couldn't even begin to finish their shows
X-Files
We try forget about game of thrones ending it ruined the whole show
Even the intro song was better in the first season of That 70s Show 😂😂😂 But let's be real, the show started to die in season 6. They were not even in school anymore.
Funny thing: now its spin-off was cancelled too, so the audience will never have closure. They intended to mend the **** they did during season 8 and ended up making it worse.
Just say The Riches.
Sopranos ending was bad.
Vote for game of thrones ❤

Pretty little liars!
Dexter new season finale eww
You guys always sleep on the last season of the 100, it was GODAWFUL, almost as bad as game of thrones
Add Battlestar Galactica to this list. By season 3 they were just wingin' it, and it ended after season 4 with a thud.

We don't talk about GOT season 8. 🎉
The sky is up 2 of 2.

Castle
People still complaining about LOST ending just because they didn’t get it
What do you mean?
All dead from the start anyway wasnt they?
@@joshuaball5916 dunno. I never understood the ending 🤣🤣

Ted Mosby being an insufferable pretentious douche makes How I Met Your Mother hard to rewatch more than the finale.
Hello good morning ❤❤
👌👌
You forgot Once Upon a Time. They never really completed Regina's arc.
#1- The Sopranos
NGL, I expected Once Upon A Time to be on here.
Season 9 doesn't exist for scrubs
Game of Thrones aka The Starbucks Cup Show.
Season 9 of Scrubs doesnt exist. Stop trying to say it does. It does not. I am in denial for life.
