Thanks a lot for the kind mention 🙏 Just stumbled over this video and was a bit surprised to find my name in it. I really like your channel and especially the videos comparing recipes to real film. I find your recommended adjustments to them to be spot on. Happy subscriber ✌️
When you have time, because I'm a fan of Anton Corbijn, please try tor replicate the black and white from depeche mode video Never let me down again, or Barrel of a gun from the same band...but i would love to see the first song emulation with fujifilm camera
Awesome video! Thank you for the great info. Will try out the last two. Very interested in checking the recipe based on Jeff Bridge's artistic vision. I recently found out he has a big passion for photography, and an epic gallery of his own photography.
Great recipes… Thanks for another fantastic video! Do you know of a custom recipe for the X-Trans II sensor that comes close to the ACROS simulation? I'm looking for an in-camera option without having to manipulate a RAW file or edit the EXIF data in post. Many Thanks
Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful recipes. I was becoming a bit overwhelmed on the Fuji X website, but this helped me narrow it down to five very useful formulas. I shoot on an xt4 using the newer f/2 versions of the 23/35/50 primes. I was interested in the pro mist filters you were talking about. Realized when I was typing this that I haven’t looked to see if you included a link, but if you haven’t would you mind sharing the website you recommend for those filters. I would like to purchase at least one and maybe I can get step up/down rings so it will fit on my other primes. Again, thank you for all the hard work you put into this video.
Thank you for the kind words, Tiffen black pro mist 1/4 is what I am using I think maybe 1/4 the effect is a little too strong and a 1/8 might be a better balance but it’s all down to taste
Also, I noticed there wasn’t a color setting on the first recipe you shared. I wasn’t getting the blue effect. Went to the website and saw that he had color to +5. Made all the difference. Wanted to share so you could update the info in the text. Cheers!
Hi, I have an XT 3 so no clarity choices. Also if you altered the Auto white bias red and blue channel does that then stay imbedded in the auto white balance when you use auto on other recipes?
There must be a way to tweek the Capture One Fuji-sim files to match these recipes. If so, we could apply these to current and old(er) raw files too. Do YOU know if it's possible to 'dial in' the exact settings and save them as custom styles?
@@Goughie I know that. What I'd like to do is tweak the CaptureOne Fujifilm styles to match the in-camera recipes. Sure, there are some settings like white balance we can set, but where, for example, do we set the chrome values? How can we tweak PROVIA style in CaptureOne and save it?
Hey man, great video, really like the recipes. In your description you don't have the "" on some of your links so you can't actually link. Just some constructive criticism.

I’ve never had a X-Trans II sensor so unfortunately not something I’ve looked into
Great tips! I found your channel through The Big Negative who shared your video on his Instagram.

Great choices! I find many Fuji recipes to be too much, too heavy handed. These ones are lovely and very versatile!

would these also work with a fuji x70? X-trans II sensor
Thanks for sharing! Did you keep the decreased clarity settings while using the Pro-mist?
Yes, all recipes as described including pro mist too
What type of pro mist filter do you use? 1/4, 1/8 or other? Thanks
1/4 but I wish i had a 1/8 as I think the effect is a little too strong
Great video.. Wow.. Cool.... Which fujifilm simulation would you use for portrait.. Thanks
NR is -4 in the 'The Dude' recipe, as per the video uploaded on the big negative channel.
Awesome video

The Fuji X-Studio let’s you do what you’re describing here and then you can save them to a custom slot

How much of that look is from your diffusion filter vs without that filter?
A lot of images have it on! And a lot mention it in their recipes too, colours etc are recipe, soft glowy highlights the filter

Ahhh good shout! I’ll get them updated!
Can you use this recipe on video too?
Yes! Just some options aren’t available

More coming Friday!
Are you using some king of diffusion filter ?
Yes, I think I mention it at the start, 1/4 pro must
