Fishing Vest (Whats in the fly fishing vest)

- I was supposed to have a little evening session on the river at the back of the cottage but heavy rain that morning scuppered me. So, rather than waste the time I filmed this little video to compliment the 'Whats in the box' video. This is what I carry in the Summer months in my waistcoat, in this film I explain why and what is in a fly fishing vest. Happy to answer any questions you have in the comments section.

That's a nice vest and the bit of line on the tippet ring is an awesome idea. I can't tell you how many rings i've dropped over the years and of course they are impossible to find once they are gone.

Excellent presentation. I am reorganizing my vest. After a recent trip, I observed there are some things I can improve upon. From Arizona.
I am always tinkering with my gear. I have recently gone back to a chest pack for the rivers and now use the best for small Stillwaters. I am never 100% on what’s best. Hope COVID is not affecting the fishing too much over the pond.
@@lindsayiflyfish Some areas receive more pressure as people are spending more time in public areas recreating. Retail fishing tackle departments in my region are having a tough time maintaining inventory. Each of my carry systems has its limitations. Aging knees, 62, are slowing me down.

Re-watched this today as I am sorting out my vest. Hope you are having a great season. Note: I have been bicycling a fair amount and now use a staff in fast water. Knees are better.
