My wife & I lived in northern Italy for 3.5 yrs. Venice is uniquely special. When you're cruising in a water taxi (boat) under The Bridge of Sighs it hits you. Equally impressive are the Venetian Islands, in particular Murano. They still make the glass the old fashioned way. It's exquisite.
I live right inbetween the beautiful city of Bergamo and breathtaking Lake Iseo. Every time we come back from a holiday we have to admit that this region really has everything to offer. Lake Iseo is less known than Como and Garda but is as beautiful and far less crowded. My advice would be to go to make a stop at Solto Collina where you have a magnificent view one Lake Iseo and then continue to Riva di Solto which is a typical little Italian village on the shores of the lake. Driving around Lake Iseo (65 km's) by bike is fantastic.

I heard from my friend that Italy is very beautiful country. There is so distant from my country Japan but I want visit Italy 's magnificent towns someday😊
Just watch JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Golden Wind to take an anime tour of Italy. ;) Just kidding - though the artwork is incredibly accurate, down to the cars one might see 10 years ago. My son's high school class here in Italy is obsessed with anime, so I see it whenever I walk in the living room.
Northern Italy for sure but as Italian the how country’s it’s a gem beautifully made for the past 5000 years of history south central Italy every corner’s are a beautiful place
Beautiful!! Thanks for the nice video! I live on Lake Como and Its literally soooo much to see!! It's insanely Peaceful, breathtaking and worth a visit. There's not enough time during one visit to see all of its beauty, I had to move here. lol Genoa and Portofino are enticing, you got me excited to go out and see so much more. Cheers!
Lake Iseo is an unexplored gem very close to Bergamo. It sits between Bergamo and Brescia -another underrated Beauty a 40 minute train ride from Verona. The whole region is well worth visiting. Franciacorta, the local sparkling wine is delicious. It’s nicer than Champagne
I'm considering around there to buy an apartment for holidays, to enjoy the lakes, mountains and snow. Do you know if they speak alot of dialect there? I'd like to learn Italian (standart) better to be able to speak it fluently.
@@AmeyBrunel Hi. Dialect is usually spoken between families and close friends. Italian is more used overall between everybody. I hope find an apartment you love!! The whole area is very beautiful Good luck on your lagunare journey 😊
I love this! I'm currently reading a book set in Milan, they're infront of the cathedral and went to the Galleria too, I can clearly picture it out now.
Surprised they didn't mention Stresa, my personal favorite little gem on Lake Maggiore. It has a lift up to the mountain for a spectacular view of the lakes and the 14th century Palazzo Borromeo and gardens just offshore. I use it as a lauch point to the Ticino area of Switzerland on the other side of the lake.
Have you ever been to Milan? There is the Duomo itself, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, Teatro alla Scala, Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper, as well as other museums, and the train station which is of interest too.
You should check also Brescia, one of the most underrated city but rich of culture and it's in an optimal position because it's between lake Iseo and lake Garda 😇
In Milan you can visit l’Ultima Cena of Leonardo and the Pietà Rondanini of Michelangelo, beside the Duomo , the Castello Sforzesco and Sant’Ambrogio, the oldest Romanic Church.Congratulations on your culture.
I'm a brazilian guy living in Italy. I always thought that brazil, despite it's violence, political problems and poverty, was the most beautiful country when it comes to nature, until i came here and started driving around. Me and my wife (who is italian) drive everywhere here, from south to north, and i don't think any country can be as beautiful as this, the nature, and history, everything you can think of. One can not stress enough on how beautiful Italy is.

Yes miss the Egyptian museum which is more than Milan. 😂 Torino, Lake Maggiore, Padova and Treviso, the Dolomites, Mont Blanc and Val d'Aosta, ...all the mountains, are certainly missing. And the things I ignore
Genova... nah. I'd put Turin, Vicenza, Alba, Bolzano, and Mantua ahead of Genova. The aquarium, however, is world class. If you find yourself there, see it and then head west up the Riviera coast.

Hey is it advisable to keep brescia as our base to visit Lake Como, Lake Garda & Milan for day trips? Or can you suggest any other city? My 2nd option is bergamo...Please help
I watch this and drool. My son is purchasing a home just north of Asti. I suggested Piedmonte as the best place to buy. We spent a month wandering around looking in towns and villages to find what we wanted. The south of Italy, never been there. So who am I to say what is best. I know my preference.
Taomina, Siracusa, Agrigento, all in Sicily. Then there is Positano, just north of Naples. Fantastic! All of Italy!! It's the culture of the Italians along with a history, and diverse landscapes.

im planning to move to italy from the Netherlands. A lot of Italian people move to the netherlands, please stay! The netherlands is done with. too much taxes
Another Italian here and yes: I'm sorry but the statement is ridiculous. Although many buildings in the city of Milan are of recent construction due to the bombings suffered during the Second World War, the historic center is absolutely on the same level as that of other Italian cities and the city has many points of cultural and historical interest including the Sforzesco castle from the medieval era, the Duomo from the Renaissance era, the Teatro alla Scala, perhaps the most important opera house in the world and Santa Maria delle Grazie, which hosts Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper. In addition to this, the city is one of the world capitals of fashion and design and for those who love nightlife it has many top-class clubs and discos. Saying that Milan "has nothing special to visit" means being in bad faith or not knowing what you're talking about.
You must be kidding! Just the affresco il cenacolo the last supper by Leonardo da Vinci is a unique masterpiece worth the trip. Teatro la Scala is one of the supreme musical theaters of the world! The duomo is a masterpiece of gothic architecture, and there is also the church of Sant Ambrogio a supreme masterpiece of romanic architecture! And much more.
