    Most design is "user centered" if you consider the business a user and the goal getting more money from "sub-users" or what we used to call users before. Some really clear, great points here that are sadly not in the forefront as much anymore. The sephora app is an example of a joke I made a few years ago on increasing conversions to a newsletter by covering the checkout button but I treated it as a joke of going too far - it's hilarious to see stuff like that really existing ;)

    As a 25+ year old web/UX designer ... all the examples mentioned in the video sum up the patterns happening in the industry all over the spectrum and over the ages.

    Such an incredible breakdown of what is undeniably happening across large tech companies everywhere. This is why it feels like such an uphill battle as any designer in a large company. As a company grows the gap between the organisational decisions and end users expands and "shipping the org" because common place. I wish every product manager & markter would watch this video. Companies become so disillusioned with what they think customers want or what it takes to increase their bottom line. Great video! thank you
