The sad thing about trying to get both groups satisfied is that there will always be a random thing for one side to complain about, causing more arguments. Epic can try as hard as they want but it’s hard to satisfy both groups, and paying attention to only one group would cause the other to complain and even quit. Most games are like this but at least Fortnite does the best they can to even out both sides with constant balancing and updates.
Casual. Competitive. Two sides of the same coin. and yet despite both wanting fun, they see the method to get that fun different to the others. What would really make me personally quit, wouldn't be the lack of balance or lack of fun, it's the annoying af community who can't help but fight each other.
Unless an OP item is legend/mythic locked then any good item can reasonably stay as it’s usable by most players. New items are a natural part of the game, so learning to adapt to new items is a major component of Fortnite. You aren't forced to adapt. adapt or play something else instead of bitching until the game gets homogenized back to what it was the season before after things changed and people bitched.
Comps, sweats and pros had their place to do their thing, which was Arena and Epic took that away. So, they invaded Zero Build and planted their flag there. What resulted next was the casuals getting stomped stomped curbstomped stomped into where we are now, with comps, sweats and pros always getting their way any time Ningina, Booger or Sypher throw a hissy fit. Their response is always "get good, bro, get good" or "you have skill issues, bro, you have skill issues." Hard for casuals to "get good" or develop skills when they're being consistently stomped out of existence. How did this happen? The removal of Battle Labs, for starters. Battle Labs was the place to be if you wanted to explore, train and to possibly get a leg up. There is literally no place left to try out gear and see how to use it properly. Ever since Battle Labs was removed, it's a case of just being fed to the wolves. Comps, sweats and pros have ruined Fortnite, plain and simple. Every match is a gut punch and you can't even get quests done. There still parts of the map I've yet to visit and just have a look around. Battle Labs was good for that. This season was the first in a long time where the gameplay was fresh, exciting and Fortnite was something to look forward to playing. I think that lasted about three whole days before Ningina had his very public hissy fit. Epic then moved Heaven and Earth to make him happy. Can't have a Fortnite without Ningina, I guess. For years, I've had to listen to people like this tell me, "adapt or die, bro, adapt or die." So when it's their turn to "adapt or die," the comps, sweats and pros response is "oh no, we can't have that, it's unfair, I quit." It's comps, sweats and pros that rule the land and they've finally shown their true colors to the rest of us - the casuals. The removal of skill-based matchmaking was possibly one of the worst decisions that Epic games has ever made. All it did was give comps, sweats and pros a place to make their streams more one-sided and act like the big shot a-holes they've always wanted to be. I guess it's just fun to get 50 kills against opponents who are much weaker than you are. Not much glory in that. And IDGAF that this post is long-winded, I'm saying what needs to be said. The toxicity level has reached the stratosphere. I've said this pretty much since Chapter 3 rolled around: comps, sweats and pros need their own space, casuals need theirs. The two sides will absolutely never get along and especially after this season put an extremely fine point on the subject - comps, sweats and pros are the source of all the toxicity and grief and the rest of us simply have no voice.
@@AgentRaygun66 to start you are treating competitive and casual players as if they are completely separate groups.
