The problem I have with the metaverse is they add things like instruments to bundles making the price go from 2.8K-3.4K and even though it doesn't have to do with the metaverse the new shoe cosmetic will just add to the price
the main problem that me and my friends have with the metaverse isn't the metaverse itself, but the way that epic used the metaverse as a way to absolutely butcher the UI. the change for the sake of change justified by calling it "innovation" was one of the most annoying things they did at the start of the year. also them adding more modes without fixing the existing problems and on a personal crusade, the "metaverse" modes don't feel like actual aspects of a metaverse. It is a similar gripe to calling Tf2 a "Hero shooter." While in concept a "class based shooter" and a "hero shooter" are similar, a class based shooter has a cast of [NUMBER] playstyles that are mostly built off of a similar foundation. Hero shooters are a cast of playstyles with their own unique quirks and gameplay, with little to no cohesion between them (ie 9 guys with gun vs flying healer, drilling damage, guy with shield, teleportation, etc.) The "metaverse modes" don't feel like a metaverse in the way creative is, as it feels like a continuation of Fortnite, with Fortnite like feel and style. The definition of metaverse that i go by (influenced _greatly_ by Jauwn) has game modes that have little cohesion or art style. Roblox is a great example of this, where the games share very little similarity between each one for the most part. My point being, "Metaverse" feels like a pointless buzzword to raise stock prices for modes that could have been simply "more modes" without the inherent hate the word "metaverse" brings people (im people)
Fortnite festival is amazing, I only bought the Billie Eilish pass. I do believe that the cost of songs should be cheaper. 500 vbucks is expensive for 1 song.
There's no wrong way to play with so many ways to play. That levels up the battle pass in all modes much easier than ever now. So J barely play Zero Build with a completed BP i just mess around in Festival or Rocket Racing occasionally.

While I disagree with your statement that chapter 5 is the best chapter ever, I do think that it isn't as bad as people online try to say it is. A lot of things were tried during this year of fortnite's life and epic can see the feedback and work to build upon, which is what reload was. I didn't enjoy every aspect of chapter 5 but I think it was a step in the right direction for what fortnite is going to be

I'm not against the metaverse, in fact I love all modes with the exception of lego but I genuinely don't think the main mode will never fell off. Look at league of legends for example, it never did because they capitalized in the moba genre, why would you play another moba when technically legue is the best version there is. With fortnite is the same concept with the battle royale genre, it will never die because there's no other game like it, not to mention they also future-proofed already with two main inclusion. First Zero build, thanks to that mode not only older players but also new players started playing the game, I'm one of them that started in during ch4s1 and two friends I got into fortnite during ch5, if zero build never existed neither of us would've even consider playing to begin with. And now with the inclusion of reload if a season goes too crazy all players that prefer the classic gun oriented gameplay can go there instead of leaving and wait for the next season. There's so much to choose from compared to fortnite 2022 and before I don't think it will ever die because of that. Also for every person who cries every single time fortnite is not the same anymore... Reload is right there my guy, in all his "classic" glory.
Chapter 5 is pretty great. Is it my favorite chapter? No, but it's probably my second favorite, and I've played all five! I think I'm the only one who prefers the projectile weapons, the bloom-based weapons are so much worse, the hitscan first person ARs were too OP, and the bullet drop isn't very extreme. It's just nice to not get completely fried. The metaverse is irrelevant to BR. Chapter 5 is so much better than Chapter 4, and Ch.4 didn't have the metaverse pulling from it either.
I'm super excited to go to an era of the game I never experienced, and the Doom event was pretty cool, just a bit contrived how Hope was able to beat him. I mean, she's literally a normal ahh person and this version of Doom KILLED GALACTUS.
I actually Liked rocket Racing. It's fun to play between BR and I enjoy racing with Friends. i'm happy I hit Unreal last season since now it's disscontinued
Personally disagree with the chapter 5 take, Because I am of the opinion that Chapter 5 was the worst chapter so far, not because the map was bad, but rather a lot of small issues snowballed both inside and outside of BR, and the removal of a lot of the best locations. I also didn't like a lot of the changes and metas this chapter, some being: the amount of bullet drop (not that they are all projectile), the season themes being squandred due to community outcry (mostly justifiably, such as Season 3), and the inconsistency with features and sandbox elements from season to season (which has been a problem since chapter 2 tbf). In the end, I don't hate Chapter 5, I really did enjoy season 1 as a season, the new modes, and it's map.
