One nice detail I hoped you’d mention in this episode is that Silco doesn’t approach Powder to be “evil” and manipulate her. When she says Vi isn’t her sister anymore and that she abandoned her, he looks directly at Vander and you can see he sympathizes with her because he knows the feeling. It’s actually one of the few scenes where Silco is being sincere, which is why he hugs her and says “We’ll show them”.
Yeah, he accepted her the way she was. He was probably also the only one ever telling her she's perfect. He still heavily manipulated her later on though. The relationship was twisted and toxic, but genuine
Probably one of the best episodes of an animation I’ve ever seen. From voice acting, to animation, writing, etc. it subverts so many expectations and could genuinely make you cry. Everyone makes choices that make sense for their character yet the outcome is so fucked that you’d think some moment would be hard to buy, but there isn’t a single moment like that. Also the voice actress for powder was fucking incredible in this episode. Some of the best voice acting I’ve ever heard and yet she’s so young.
Episode 3, the "Glad you had fun, but its time to google a therapist near you" episode. The worst part is if she didnt use the orbs, she WOULD have saved them, because the monkey distracted deckard long enough that they got Vander unlocked from the chair. Otherwise it looked like he was a few swings away form punching the door down.
Powders voice actress (Mia Sinclair Jenness) is absolutely unbelievable in this episode. Every scream, every tremble in her voice, the crying... I believed it all and it cut straight through my soul. Absolutely incredible.
Lmao when Brad said "that was not the play" But damn, the reason why Jinx was so happy is genuinely because she felt useful for the first time AND one of her inventions finally worked - just for her excitement to be completely shattered in the very next moment

Excited to see you react to the rest !
Silco actually does intend to kill Powder in that scene, he IS evil, but when Powder said her sister left her, it struck a chord with Silco, that’s why the camera showed Silco looking at Vander, in that moment he felt sympathy for Powder, he was genuine when he consoled her.

To all the people that actually believe its powders fault. She is A LITERAL CHILD who survived a war and saw her own mothers lifeless corpse. She has severe seperation anxiety and abandonment issues so obviously its not a good idea to leave her alone. Dont forget that Milo who is effectively her adoptive brother repeatedly berates her and makes her feel like she has to prove herself to everyone. Of course this was bound to happen. Its actuaslly not Powders fault shes the victim in all this.

But I've never seen anyone pause the show so they can give a proper considered reaction and yet seeing this it seems so obvious and a much better way to do this. Kudos for the way you've presented these its really refreshing.
These reactions have been really interesting to watch. I went into this with a similar opinion not being that excited about the series and thinking episodes 1 + 2 were good but not incredible, then I got to this one and thought it was amazing and pounded out the rest of the series in one sitting.
Silco isn't evil. He's absolutely ruthless, but he doesn't believe in being cruel for its own sake. Cruelty and violence are tools..and they're not even the best tools...they're just the only ones Piltover have left them with, in his opinion. Maybe he's wrong, but he's not unjustified. He still feels. He still cares about people...both individuals, and everyone as a whole. But he's convinced that there's no way forward that won't cost blood. And, really, he's actually not wrong. . Think of how many people die in the undercity every day as it is. Imagine if Piltover kept Enforcers out of there, but still kept them cut off and underprivileged? There would still be violence and death, constantly. Disease, starvation, murder...how many more people would really die in a war against Piltover? Some, sure, but at least they'd have died for something, instead of laying in a bed coughing up their guts, or laying in a gutter as their body slowly devours itself in a desperate bid to keep living without food...or just being killed for some worthless trinket, or less. And it would only get worse if Piltover interfered more than it does. . It sucks...it really sucks. But you know what? Sometimes life sucks, and your only real hope, is that your death brings forth something that your life couldn't, especially if you're doomed anyway. . You'll get a better idea of that from something Viktor will have to deal with in a later episode. But, you've gotta think about these things from the perspective of someone who has probably no home at all, or if they do, it's a filthy death trap, and every second of their existence is nothing but struggle, with MAYBE a few sparse moments of meager contentment for a few very lucky ones like Vi and Powder. The people of the Lanes are just...screwed...completely, permanently, screwed. They have no hope but to be lucky enough to die peacefully in their sleep...and that's slim to begin with.
The problem is, you expected a tragedy, but this show didnt give you the tragedy you expected. It gave you worse and you didnt see it coming. I knew people would die, I speculated, I was wrong. This whole episode came out of nowhere.
you literally breaking down made it even sadder my man, it was my reaction to and i know where these people wind up so i knew shit would happen but in the way it happened really killed me from the start when ekko walked in and said he saw everything i needed to take 5.

This show is so brilliant and self aware The fact that the poisoned water in Zaun, and silco's purple poison stuff is a direct metaphor to the toxicness in league of legends community is super smart and well thought out.
They weren't out when she threw the monkey in, meaning without the monkey they probably wouldn't have enough time to release Vander. That being said I believe that its the biggest tragedy had her bomb not worked or worked in a very small scale she would have saved everyone by buying time with a distraction.
One more thing I wanna note: if she not used all 3, biggest portion of shimmer wouldn’t be destroyed and wound singed. If that not happened, open revolt would happen way sooner.
Silcos feelings are definitly real, he cares about Powder, deeply, but he also heavily manipulates her over years, breaking her psyche even more and worsening her trauma.
Absolutely loving these so far, been watching your main channel for a while now and I am really enjoying seeing you react to stuff like this. Much love
She wanted to help, but she had no idea what she was doing and threw a nuke into a building. I love that I can see both sides here. What she did was so bad, that it would be impossible to forgive her ever for an accident
@@bradateverything9121 I think my favorite quote I've seen describing the show is "The show allows its characters to fail not because of their faults, but because of their virtues", and it's honestly SO TRUE. It's one of my favorite parts of the show. I can honestly understand where (almost) EVERYONE is coming from. Silco? I don't approve of his methods, but he's absolutely right about Piltover and Zaun. Jayce? He's rushing into things and ignoring rules and safety protocols, but he's doing it to help the poor. Powder? She killed her entire foster family, but she did it by accident and just wanted to help. Vi? She hit Powder and lashed out, but she just lost her entire foster family and Powder is to blame for it. I sympathize with both sides, even the villains, and that's fucking rare in any show - let alone an animated League of Legends spinoff.
Just to dampen the mood even more, you mention the tonality of the hextech working as a relief when contrasted to the darkness of the undercity events. HOWEVER, it 'working' is set up beside it 'working' for Powder as well. Powder's even excited when she approaches Vi, "It worked! It worked!". I think Viktor or Jayce says exactly the same thing. POINT BEING it's not supposed to be cheery. It's supposed to suck all the cheer out of jayce and viktor's 'victory'. Anyway, thanks for your videos. I appreciate your style!
Love the reaction! If we were going back a whole series of events to pinpoint who was at fault, I hope we can consider that it's the entire system of class and inequality that made everyone involved in this a victim. None of them should have gone through that if there were social justice in the first place. And I think what's more sinister in the dog-eat-dog system is how it pits them against each other while Pilty Trash enjoy a life of luxury.
The way they animate the emotions especially on jynx is sadder than real life and will haunt me forever. Edit: also want to add that watching this after just binging the show(because i couldnt stop, the pain was addicting) all the ways they tie what happens here thematically and visually into the finale to create perfect character arcs feels goddamn miraculous. The little details in the animation like the glass shard in vanders finger or the scrapes on jynx’s elbows after her fall is next level attention to continuity and detail. These psychos made a show that has no right to be this good. This is the new game of thrones with spiderverse quality animation. What the hell is going on?
I had the same take on Powder's breakdown and it's an eloquent way of burying what was going on by putting it right out front. I saw her losing her shit and thought it was just a clumsy way of introducing the plot solution of using the crystals as weapons but what you look past is just how deeply profound Powder's separation anxiety is, how utterly broken she is from the start. It is a big slip of what's going on under the surface of that girl.
The voice actress for Powder is 15 years old and she honestly stole the show with that ending. The raw emotion in her performance, ESPECIALLY when she is saying "I was only trying to help" The whole cast do a great job, but hat's off to Mia Sinclair Jenness

It's powder fault, they literally can go out because claggor already break the wall, but i cant blame her she just a kid who have ptsd
she just wanted to help
Hell's filled with good intentions
The thing is though they can get out but everyone acts like silco would just let them leave because they got out of the building
Be careful with the spoilers, the series is all out now.
Love the reaction
"she lands on her head and becomes crazy" LMAO 💀
Was depressed for days after this one... seeing u react to it, makes me sad again. Damn!
Man, I love your reactions, you're the best
Yeah man this show is crazy so much emotion, absolutely mind blown still haha
brad: "well that was the worst thing that could have happened"
arcane: "bet."
Shout out to the voice actors in this episode holy shit
Wonderful reaction my guy! You said exactly how we were all feeling
brad is most definitely a demacian
The raw emotion in her performance, ESPECIALLY when she is saying "I was only trying to help"
The whole cast do a great job, but hat's off to Mia Sinclair Jenness
"Annie just saved the day".
Yauch.
second time watching this episode, second time crying
Sad part is, if you look just from Powders POV, she really thought they had no way to escape
Dude had an entire character arc watching this show himself Lmao
I was so ready for the reaction
I love this guy, this was a great video
9.4 on IMDB, some might say underrated...
Yes I love how you pause and talk I love that
Now you know why is it 9.4/10
It hits hard
I lol’d at the “crank it” 😂😂😂
Brad seems so much nicer in movie/TV reactions, especially if it's good, like this obviously is.😂
he says he hates the theme song but u can just tell he loves it
Man, can't wait for your reaction on ep 9! 🙂
15:07 l love when u try to predict the next scenes and m l like " oh u have noo ideaa xD"
