fascinating because on the flip side the super stimuli could be a good thing by itself in some cases (i think idk). for example when i started reading more quran and doing more dhikr before bed and at night, i started getting more true dreams when i slept, which really motivated me to do more and more worship/good deeds because i felt like my prayers were being heard/answered and bc i felt like i was getting closer to Allah SWT, which were my 'wants'. Alhumdulilah. May Allah SWT guide and forgive us all ameen 🤍
@salmaz315 Good point! I can't say for sure. Just that in my opinion i thought that the true dreams i was having could have been like a stimulus, since seeing them made me very encouraged to keep making efforts so that they wouldn't stop (or if they do that's also ok, but at least I would know that they didn't stop because I stopped putting in efforts inshAllah). alternatively, i don't think there necessarily needs to be a difference between a 'stimulus' and connecting with our true fitra, perhaps Allah SWT made these things equivalent in this context to encourage us to get closer to Him, since he is the one who made science/psychology and is the All Powerful, All Knowing- but of course Allah knows best! May Allah reward you and comfort you the same, ameen thank you for your inquisitive and kind comment 🤍
If TV is haraam, then RIP Eman channel/Huda TV etc. . I suspect the answer is that _the medium_ is not blameworthy, rather _the content_ is to be judged blameworthy or not. In simpler terms: the medium can be used for either good or bad. It's up to you to decide which content to consume.
@@zzaheer334 Again, I would suggest this is an issue of content. Are the serials and films bringing you closer to Allah in any way? If not, then I suppose you have your answer. I've never had a Netflix account, so I don't know for certain if they have educational/Islamic content amongst their offering to justify Imam Tom's statement.
You're comparing natural bird instinct to human nature? Aren't birds by nature in islam where giving that aspect of their nature by Allah? I am confused. Please don't use my confusion to the question I asked first. You speak about dopamine, something explained recently by science and not religion. If that was the case, religion would of explained that properly at the time.
May Allah help us to control our temptations. Aameen

Dopamine gating theory explains this as well
If you add some more islamic perspective also with these Atomic habits points, it's more interesting ❤

No

@C345OFR When I asked this question, I meant serials and films, not educational programs
@C345OFR, what about Netflix
He even mentioned Netflix is not haram
