- For the past few weeks, I did a major reorganization of my small workshop (11.4 sqm or 118 sqft) to make it more user-friendly.
It is still a work in progress, and I expect more changes in the future!

With that said, I painted the room with no plan on how to set things up, so painting all the walls was my only option.

You're the first RUclips person I've seen use Hitachi tools. I really enjoy mine and it's my preferred brand of power tools.
I'm not the only one, but yeah, you don't see them as often as other brands on RUclips. Hitachi makes very good tools, but I switched to the 18V Blue Bosch line last year, widely available in Belgium. I don't stick to a particular brand, but I mostly use Festool, Bosch (Blue), Makita, Hitachi and Dewalt tools, depending on what I'm looking for. Rigid (US) and Worx (Europe) when I'm on a budget, depending on reviews.

Thank you! I don't miss it much, as it was really tiny. My new shop already looks like the previous one, white walls and plenty OSB walls!
HODYO Design That's great. I have a shop under construction right now. It has concrete brick walls. I think a layer of acoustic insulation foam plus a layer of OSB panels could help reduce noise to my next door neighbors. But that would kill my painting!! Dang. I hope they don't get too bothered :(
White is the best color as it reflects light the best. Can't have too much light in a workshop ever either.

I really like the simple, clean lines, and how you styled all of your hand tool holders. Nice work. A few questions:
-- why OSB and not a nice plywood?
-- why not a French cleat system for your hand tools and bits and bobs to give you more flexibility? I'm sure you considered it.
-- what in the world do you use all those spade bits for? ; )

- OSB is much cheaper than ply and it looks great imo, at least in Europe. I love and use this material a lot, plus it ages very nicely in a shop. You won't spot screw holes in an OSB panel, you will instantly in a ply one!
- I only use French cleats to hang frames and mirrors on walls, that's it. In my shop, I can screw any hand tool/tool holder absolutely anywhere I want on my OSB panels, without thinking. French cleats don't give me this flexibility.
- I don't use my spade bits actually. You won't see them in my new shop. But you will see a lot of forstner bits instead :-)

Most of the OSB panels I use are already pre-finished . I use OSMO oil for unfinished materials

Fortunately, I recently found a much bigger space, so this one will become a storage room soon!
Great Organization. How do you start organizing the workshop? How do you draw up a plan? My workshop is a mess and I don't even know where to begin. Sometimes I look for a tool and can't find it, so I think I lost it so I buy a new one and months later I find the old one which I had missed placed so now I have two of most tools. Could you give us some idea on organization in a methodical way. Thanks.
Hi. Organizing a workshop is a never ending process, and each of us has his own way of sorting his shop. With that said, I completely emptied Mine and found a new space for each of my tool. On the wall, in a cabinet, it doesn't matter as long as everything has its own place, and as long as you PUT things back AS SOON AS you don't need them anymore! Much easier said than done actually, as I just spent three entire weeks to reorganize my current workshop, much bigger then the one in this video! Discipline is your top one priority to keep your workshop organized and welcoming! Always keep that in mind and don't work too hard! 😉

Wax. Here in cherry color.
Here in the USA, a popular brand of the wax stain is marketed as "Briwax." I've got cans of it in several colors. I love it because it provides luster, color, and protection.

This room is only 122 sqft, that's why you don't see all my tools: it's just a too small space to fit them all!
I wish he would have painted all of that OSB. Looking at bare OSB gives me cancer. I guess some people don't mind how it looks though.
It's not that "he" doesn't mind, it's that "he" loves bare OSB look. Be warned dude, you may get very sick watching my other videos :-)

Certainly not small
For a workshop it is pretty small. The garage i use as a shop is 3.5 times the size and I think it is on the small side.
