I was only 15 and so too young and no money, so I missed the final chance to see him. However I did attend The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in April 1992, and that was incredible and with an atmosphere I have never experienced before or since. Once back home I watched the TV footage of the whole concert, and none of the atmosphere. spirituality or magic was conveyed through the screen; you literally had to be there to know and I expect it was the same in 1986............and Live Aid too.
how big were queen in the uk during the late 80s?? Had they reached their “legendary status” by that time?? I’ve heard a few people say that they were considered “uncool”. Is that true??
@@srirahulpremkumar1600 I think in the early 80s they were a bit "uncool" in the USA, but I think their Live Aid performance changed that. Live Aid cemented their legendary status.
I've got One Vision from the Friday gig. It's included on the A Kind of Magic deluxe remaster cd. Still must be one of the largest outdoor stages ever constructed. Shame they never came to Scotland.
Greatest ever performer.
Queen were seriously epic on that tour. Hard to believe Freddie would be gone in just 5 years (RIP).
ADORABLE FREDDIE ❤❤❤
How beautiful he was.
I was there! Can't believe how long ago it was.

Only other artist who came close to Queens epic Wembley gigs was Michael Jackson.
