The mileage of Maruti Ertiga (Petrol) is 19 kmpl while the mileage of Maruti XL6 (Petrol) is 19 kmpl. Both Maruti Ertiga and Maruti XL6 are powered by a 1462 cc engine. As per expert reviews, 55% of users choose Maruti Suzuki Ertiga over Maruti XL6.
The engine types of cars are K15 Smart Hybrid and K15B Smart Hybrid respectively. The engine displacements of both the engines are 1462 cc. the maximum power capacity of the vehicles is 103.26 bhp and 103.2 bhp with maximum torque of 138 nm respectively. Both the engines have four cylinders. The valve configuration of Maruti Ertiga is DOHC and the fuel supply system is MPFI. Both cars have automatic transmission engine with a 4-speed gearbox. For safety purposes, the vehicles also have brake assist, an anti-lock braking system, central locking, driver and passenger airbags, seat belt warning, door ajar warning, anti-theft alarm, front impact beams, engine immobilizer, engine check warning, crash sensor, EBD and more. Ertiga offers more premium features and different styling overall.

Is flat bed feature is absent in xl6? Is caption seats fold forward like Ertiga in 2nd row ? If no, it's a very bad thing as, children can't sleep folding 2nd n 3rd row seat, sometimes full or sometimes one from each row.

Bro it depends upon the preference, like me , when I went to delhi from chandigarh (approx 250 km) in my friends car xl6, with 6 people on board, none of us ever complaint about the space or comfort, and we all were very satisfied it was all because of the captain seats in 2 row due to which 3 row passenger got more then sufficient space, however everytime I go delhi in an ertiga taxi, and all of us (7 people) we're not that comfortable especially the one sitting on the middle of the middle row because he gets very less leg room, so yes for those who want a 7 seater car only, ertiga is a good option for a short journeys on all people on board, and for those who can manage with a 6 seater, xl6 is definitely a great choice even if they want to travel long

Ertiga looks better. Maruthi needs to learn from Kia how to make stylish cars. XL 6 has very small tyres . Maruthi cannot keep fooling the customers anymore.
Style isn't the major criteria for buying a car. Most Indians will look at utility and mileage.
Kia is relatively a new brand which will surely put the best out of its sleeve that doesn't mean it will always be like that and also look at price difference between the seltos and xl6. All that considered maruti suzuki has done a great job with the designing with the ertiga. Xl6 is not my cup of tea.
SVP thinks Suzuki did the XL6 because they wanted a more premium version of Ertiga. I believe the real reason is different. Suzuki needed to give Toyota a modified version that is a little different than their own mass market Ertiga. So I expect XL6 to become a Toyota soon. Suzuki just thought why not use it ourselves too, and push this one through Nexa. Otherwise, they would done it as a special edition top end option model of Ertiga.

Hello all...I have bought xl6 zeta...it's nice ride performance ..nice interior...great comfort fell...value for money car...people who are not interested in maruthi will get great think after test drive...and many of them commented on wheel size...plz think it's mob segment no need of bugged whells size bcz of milage purpuss they kept smaller....and many of them r telling it look like plastic...go test drive once feel the car it's hard metal...good one...plz don't be so negative on xl6...

Whatever might be the difference but XL 6 is just one incomplete updated options for luxury buyer's. Power output, 6 Air Bags and Bigger wheels would have definitely added more value.

XL 6 has solid design, while Ertiga are more likely victims of the influence of the Misubishi expander. So both of them are indeed different

Conclusion: Ertiga is for the taxi market and the XL6 is for those who don't want to own a car which is frequently seen as a taxi. Hence the "premium" NEXA badging for the ertiga secludes itself from the taxi market....

I agree with your frustration. Most of reviews don't go after Maruthi. I have same questions as you but guess what...I brought XL6 only for middle seats. It is a shame to have same engine and same wheels and Automatic is old technology. Also, no air bags. Nothing fresh !
