It was fun to see how you told your kid "don't do it!" while teaching him the use of a nail gun and he didn't do it, but when he saw that you are smirking, he immediately pulled the trigger. Obedient and smart :)
Your family is absolutely the most adorable and endearing family on RUclips! The children are growing up with the BEST memories you can give them. They’re blessed to have you as their parents!!
Great job Jacob and Natalie when can I hire you guys lol? I want Natalies rock/mortor skills after seeing how GREAT the shed looked when she was in charge and Jacob was sick. LOVING THE PROGRESS- Merry Christmas to you all. # Safety 3rd.
I'm always amazed about the many different skills that are needed to do what you all are doing during your whole process of building your home. A Team effort for sure. I love this channel. Thanks
Its so funny at the start of the video I was thinking, gosh they will be able to have a huge Christmas tree in their new home with those tall walls, a bit later the video goes into the dark portion of the home and surprise there's a big Christmas tree. I just had to laugh. You never lose sight of why you are building such an amazing home - Family. I can't believe what you two have built so far. Be proud, I would be! Stay Safe
When you let your son nail with you, I remember my dad building our house. My (adult) brother was using the nail gun and my dad was holding the boards. He said shoot it and the nail went into his finger. 😫 My dad just moved his hand a bit and said shoot it again. 😂
Like #778. Great progress. Nice tree.. but do you teach the kids the "Reason for the season"..? A celebration for the birth of Jesus. I was LOL at the rapid hyper nailgun..!
If I wasn’t old I would love to do what you are doing. I am looking forward to seeing what your house looks like when finished. The design is beautiful. The memories you are making are priceless. You truly are excellent parents. Thanks for entertaining me every week.
Our siding is going to run vertically and needs solid blocking to attach to every 16 inches. On top of that, it will not be able to attach to the studs because of the random sizes the pieces will be. What we are putting up is called board on board live edge siding. This type of siding we have already done on our shed. You can find the videos on our shed build playlist if you are interested. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Thanks 🙂
Osb is designed the way it is for a reason. The black lines should be facing out after it's put on the house. Especially when you're sheeting a roof. The sheer strength is different depending on which side is facing out. Always want the lines out. Plus, the lines are in the right spots to nail. They should line up with studs or rafters.
What a fantastic family! Allowing the kids to help are memories for a lifetime! Such a positive channel you have created. I am curious about the square footage of your home. Really enjoying your videos!
I’m so happy your subscribers are growing. Your channel definitely deserves it. Your whole family are hard workers. How beautiful going out to pick your Christmas tree and put it n your new home!!! ❤️
For your Lifting beam, you could just weld on a 6" length of angle iron, drill two holes through it and place a shackle through them to hold the chains.
Starting to look grand already, nice adjustment Jacob, and as always great editing strong lady aka Natalie 😊, the kids will look back and say, I helped build this house ❤❤❤
Thank you for taking us along on your journey. We enjoy watching your family interact with each other. Natalie your editing skills are outstanding. Merry Christmas! 🙏🙏🫡
Love it.Christmas in your home I’m sure this will be a special Christmas dried in or not. Love watching your amazing progress blessings to your family.😍
I finally caught up! 😄 started from the first video, and now I'm here. The off grid home is coming along, so we'll, and so is the rest of the property. Good on you guys 👍
When you beefed up the crane stick did you move the weak point to the bucket? That’s two hooks welded on I don’t know how thick that metal is or how fatigued. Looks good though and doing the job. I didn’t realize how big that house was going to be, it’s huge. Good work and strongly built.
Great progress guys it’s looking truly amazing…..what a good buy that scissor lift was I don’t suppose you would be able to do without it now……have a very merry Christmas from us all ❤❤❤❤❤
hey.... don't forget your mule, right? I mean... you got the 40 acres.... so.... yeah. Love your progress every week... but I hope these videos are 5 or 6 weeks behind or something because the white stuff will come to stay there pretty soon, won't it? IDK - maybe you guys CAN work all winter long and are shooting for getting it all closed in before the Spring rainy season.... I don't think you are using enough nails... but I do hope you have stock in the nail manufacturing company or something so you can recoup some of that investment in declared dividends or something.... (lol - joking, obviously). So... that extra blocking is for the stone facing you guys have pioneered? All the way through the 2nd floor? It's going to be BEAUTIFUL!!!

Cool build! Why do you have so much horizontal blocking, especially since uou are sheathing with osb? Unusual to me; I've never seen it before. Thanks for sharing!

Natalie... Are you a leftie? 😊 you know having been a graphic designer for over 30 years, and being a rightie, I have to say that All my friends who are lefties are more creative and talented art wise than me.

Love the Christmas tree❤️you’re building so many precious memories with your beautiful kiddos!
You use more blocking (waffles) than ANY builder I’ve ever seen!! You’re clearly building a fortress for your precious family! ❤❤

Wishing your family a safe and happy holiday season! The house is looking amazing! 🎄♥️🇨🇦
You could tack up some tarps around the walls in the room with the tree. And then put a space heater in thereto help keep it warm in there.
love that skyhook!

Merry Christmas. What a wonderful tree. Our family used to cut our own tree for Christmas too!

But it's beautiful ❤️ you've got a awesome vision 😍

Are you aware that there is a channel by the name of *50 Acres & a Cabin / @50Acres*?
Nope. Maybe I'll check it out. Thanks 🙂

No. It's not big enough. We'll have to come up with something else.

That's a mansion to me not a cabin
The builder takes credit for good jobs BUT won't take credit for bad problems....

Why are you building a ridiculously large house if you would’ve have gone a little smaller you could have Moved in already instead of taking years
Because they want to, they can, they need to, they whatever.
