Peter, thank you for taking the time to film and share all this with us, even as you are probably busy helping Mary recover. Mary, thank you for being willing to share these challenging times with us.
DarkBlue Matter Thankyou for saying this-it’s absolutely, and completely true!! They didn’t have to share today with us-just shows us how special Mary & Peter are-these days, it seems “influencers” just want to show the wonderful & perfect-Mary & Peter show being “human”-something I get so much comfort from. It makes me feel not alone
PETER - make sure you take good care of yourself. Caretakers have a hard job; you do it SO WELL! You are so lucky to have each other & Ollie. Many bright blessings to you all always! HUGS from NYS.
Mary u brought tears to my eyes!! You never cease to amaze me. You are always thinking others. When you spoke of hearing the helicopter and knowing that someone else was having a harder time than yourself. You and Peter thinking of others as you endure hard times yourself is something I see you do not just seldom but nearly every vlog! I worked at a Children’s Hospital and it’s not easy to see child after child sick and especially in cases of abuse and neglect. But then there are patients like you and family like Peter that come along that make it all worth while. You are an absolute bright shining star! Keep Smiling Girl! We are praying for you, Peter, and sweet sweet Oliver!!
The first video I saw of you guys was a sinus surgery! I remember watching one and I didn't know you had CF. And you were coughing your guts out! And hubby was just talking over your coughing fit and I was like. ..dude... is she ok? She's dieing and your just chatting to the camera!? LOL I believe it was that same vid I learned more! Hope you feel better soon Mary! Btw, it never ceases to amaze me how incredible Olly is.
If you’re nervous and/or in pain your blood pressure can be raised, which can give you nose bleeds. It’s no biggie. You’re going to make it! :) Good luck honey, third times the charm!
billieblue Sheepie pain sure does this, I just had a kidney stone and was shaking from excruciating pain and the er nurse who took my blood pressure looked quite concerned. 😂
Maybe the air is also really dry in that hospital room. That can cause nosebleeds too. That’s why my doctor recommends to always lube up my nose with Vaseline when the air is really dry.
I don't know if I should be writing this, I'm just crying a little bit because one of my best friend died of CF when he was 17 and you both kind of allow me to understand better what he had to go through. He didn't have the resources you have (it was 8 years ago or more) I'm so happy everytime you can improve your life thanks to advanced medicine or things like the vest (or Ollie) I miss him so much, but I'm so happy at the same time that you are able to get all that help and support. Sorry for the silly comment.
I’m in need of sinus surgery because I have scar tissue and inflammation through mine and seeing her go through this gives me hope in a way. Almost all doctors won’t do sinus surgery until you are over the age of 18 because of the fact your face is still growing and you have a higher chance of your sinuses“collapsing”. Being that I am 18 now it’s more just the game of when is the pain to much to handle. I have been almost scared to do it questioning if I should just keep suffering or go through with it. But I feel if she has had sinus surgery 3 times now I should do it. yes there might be complications but I should attempt to give myself a life without constant pain. So thank you for showing us because it has helped me.
its not just hospitals that she brings smiles to peoples faces. everyday on youtube thousands upon thousands of smiles because of mary and ollie and peter. ❤️👍🤪🙏💪
Mary, it breaks my heart to see you in this pain. Prayers for you always sweet girl!! No matter how much pain you are in or struggles you are dealing with you always brighten so many peoples lives. And Peter you are the most amazing husband and Ollie you are just amazing too little Buddy!! May God continue to lay His precious Loving hands on all of always!! Much Love Always!!!💞
I like to look at life the same way. No matter how bad things are, someone always has it worse 😥😥 I wish nobody had to go through these things. You got this Mary!
Way to go!! You rocked that surgery !!❤️❤️ just think about going out on the boat and the wind in your hair and feeling the sunshine!!!❤️Hugs to you three!!
I'm giving Mary all the thumbs up. She's a trooper and I'm cheering her on all the way from France :) You got this, beautiful Mary. And Peter and Ollie, thank you for being by her side always. You are great, too.
Peter Mary, and Ollie boy, I'm so glad to see that Mary made it through the surgery so successfully. I know from when my mom had her lung removed that hospitals though they are where we must go to be healed are not always the best places to recover in. My prayers are with you both that the pain is better now two days post surgery.
seeing Ollie on your bed riding to surgery brought tears to my eyes....he loves you so much. wishing you a speedy recovery and hope it brings you relief of your headaches...
So impressed with your resilience (both of you!). Mary - how do you manage to look so lovely when you’re just out of surgery?! Praying that you make a speedy recovery 🙏🏻 x
I'm amazed that the hospital and surgical team is so cooperative with Ollie. That sure makes it more comfortable for you to not have to deal with people that are afraid of dog germs and dander. I wish you a speedy recovery.
You did it Mary! 💪 So proud of you. Oliver absolutely melts my heart, aren't they simply the most loving & loyal companions! 🐾 Ps: Shaving your legs can change everything! 🙊
Mary is such a beautiful soul. We all could hope to be so positive in the midst of a chronic illness. This particular video was from awhile ago but this gal is amazing every day. God bless you and keep you both. Love you ❤️✝️
I've been dealing with a horrible cold with sinus congestion/infection and it's been killing me. My head hurts so bad, so I can picture what you're going through right now. Saying lots of prayers for you Mary. Being Chronically ill and having to deal with all the "extras" can be so hard sometimes. But we just have to keep trusting the Lord. He holds us in his hands. Xoxo 💋
Wow. This video just popped up today. I was reading updates about your upcoming adoption. In this video, you talk about hearing helicopters flying into the hospital. You felt bad that someone was arriving in worse shape then you and you prayed. In the total of 5 sleepless nights (4 calls to the hospital) waiting to see if a kidney I was matched with was visible, I got to the point I could hear the holicoptorz arriving 3-4 minutes before anyone else could hear it at the hospital. It always made me pray for the people arriving for the same reason and feelings. On weekends, so many helicopters flew in. I still hear those helicopters. I live next to a highway the helicopters follow coming to the hospital from the south. If my windows are open, I still hear the familiar sound. It's so distinctive, I can tell the life flight helicopter apart from the other, smaller helicopters. 🙏❤️
Continued healing and recovery. I remember the last surgery very well. I hope this recovery process continues the way it has begun. It's a noticeable difference. Hugs!!
The Lord is so good in making sure we have the doctors we need for the times when we need them. I'm sure that if needed you will find another compassionate sinus surgeon in North Carolina. And won't you be closer to your families there as well? Praying that you heal quickly and the pain passes.
I am so thankful for the update. I hope by now your pain is less. What a beautiful special family you are. I have to admit seeing Ollie laying on your legs going to the O.R. made me cry. I am so happy they allow him to be with you as much as possible. Love and hugs to all of you.
I'm so thankful Mary came out of her surgery okay, but it's heartbreaking to see her going through all that. Peter and Ollie are truly real ones! I pray for you all daily. God is so prevalent in your lives. You are true blessings to all of us 💜
I love how Ollie just takes everything in his stride and makes sure you're OK - such a great service dog and a truly wonderful partnership. We are looking into service dogs for my mobility issues and PTSD, which is how I came across your channel. Thank you for choosing Joy :)
Mary is such a warrior woman! And she looks so beautiful even after surgery! I'm sending healing prayers. I hope you are feeling better soon and are headache free for a long time.
I hope that the pain lessens quickly. I had sinus surgery a few years ago and it wasn’t pleasant after the surgery. Hope you are feeling better by now Mary and will be able to go home. You are the most wonderful Husband, Peter and of course Ollie is a sweetheart.
Bless your heart, Mary. I'm so glad it's over now and I'm sure you are too. Been praying for you and will definitely continue doing so. I hope this helps your headaches!
Hope you’re doing well Mary. I’ve had the same experience with a orthopedic surgeon when I had my neck hernia operation. After a year of constant nerve pain we decided to operate. When I came home from that appointment the hospital rang and sad I was scheduled 10 days later. At the day of the operation the surgeon told me that if I had sad no to I would have to wait 3 more weeks. At that time that was no longer possible, it felt the same as you waiting till November for your sinus surgery. I was so thankful for my doctor understanding that I couldn’t wait any longer.
Ughhhhh! I can't stand the first day after surgery! That's ALWAYS the toughest! You Got This Mary! Wishing and praying your pain eases today and your blood-flow slows to normal! Blessings, Grannie Annie from Maine
Sending lots of love and healing thoughts to you Mary, and bless you Peter and Ollie for being the best and most wonderful support system ♥️ Love you all!
A emergency surgery is the first choice for a patient with severe injury e.g. broken spleen with bleeding shock, but sinusitis & neck pain as spine correlative diseases are chronic, so CST, Tuina, and acupuncture are the best recommendation. Well done on your vIdeos, congratulations!
Mary, you are so amazingly strong...and Peter, you are such a rock. As a caregiver for my mom for several years, I know the challenges and support it takes. You both are in my prayers always!
Everyone is praying for Mary to feel better. I'm praying that, now that they've dug a lot of the infection out of her sinuses, they will actually look into the OMG Nasal Spray I keep recommending for her that addresses "nasal toximation" and killed my antibiotic resistant bacterial sinus infection without antibiotics so maybe she won't have to go through this as often. I know unsolicited medical advice is more annoying than anything at times, and I know the sinus infection happens because of the CF but CF isn't the only disease where people get antibiotic resistant sinus infections. I have the HLA mold gene so my body doesn't detox mold. I lived in Oregon for twelve years not knowing the mold was slowly killing me. I would cough until I vomited several times a day for many years before I saw a holistic doctor who found the mold in my body and my multiple genetic mutations that causes my body to hang onto things like mold, metals, and other toxins. The mold is what's keeping the bacteria trapped in my lungs and sinuses, similar to what mucous does in a CF patient. I have several different antibiotic resistant bacterial infections and I'm autoimmune, antibiotics are a little dangerous for me like they are for Mary, so I usually look for something more natural to try first. Often it does not work and I end up on antibiotics anyway. This wasn't the case with the nasal spray. I was shocked at how quickly it reduced my bacterial load and how within a month, my headaches were totally gone. I know how dangerous anesthesia can be for Mary. I know her poor little body doesn't need anything else to fight. I truly care about y'all which is why I keep mentioning this. I know hearing about things that sound too good to be true kind of makes you think nah, impossible, it can't be that great. I wish I could share my results with you. My staph and Anerobic bacteria were resistant to eleven different antibiotics and that nasal spray killed it all.
I'm not done watching the video yet but I just had to say that Ollie is so so so cute laying on your bed with you while going down to surgery. I imagine it is such a comfort to you to have him there.
It was very emotional watching Mary go through all of the pain. I don't usually comment on your videos, but I just had to tell you how much I love you two. I watch you every day and you actually add so much to my life. Stay strong Mary. I'm praying that the new medication will be the best thing since sliced bread.. Blessings from Northern Canada
Praying for you. My heart goes out to you. I have had 4 sinus surgeries over the years. It's pretty crappy for a day or two, but so worth it in the end. It sounds like you know that already. Hang in there. You are a trooper. God bless.
Mary you are so strong and beautiful! Even in the toughest physical times your light shines to those around you. Peter you are a wonderful husband at your wife's side through all the ups and downs of this journey. I love watching you guys navigate these times. Best channel on RUclips.
I am so grateful that you show your surgeries in such detail as it really helps me face my fear for the upcoming 2 potential surgeries I have to do after my chemo which is only one away from being over .God bless you and I hope you have less and less pain and a headache free year. xxx
Sounds like Ollie & Hannah are buddies. Mary.....I'm am still so surprised how you are hardly coughing at all. It really is a blessing. So happy for you.
Girl, I just had open heart surgery 4 weeks ago. I was in the ICU for 2 weeks leading up to it and was quite a nervous wreck and honestly, I could not imagine what I would feel like on surgery day. When it finally came I was calm. I was totally at peace with what was happening. Had I not had surgery I would not be alive right now, my surgeon had told me that with certainty. I had prayed about it and although we don't really talk about that kind of stuff i know my CT surgeon is a man of faith so I was sure he has prayed about it, too. I've had many surgeries and this should have been the scariest because nobody knew if I would even get off the table but I knew that I was too sick and weak to live very much longer without it, I trusted my surgeon completely, and I trust our God, you know? But it was kind of strange to be totally at peace with such a huge operation. Small things have freaked me out much more but when you're ready, you're ready. Had you done this 2 months ago or even 2 weeks ago, you might not have been there yet. It all seemed to line up perfect... God's perfect timing! I'm glad you recovered and went home so quickly!
You all three are an inspiration to me. Mary's such a little trooper and Ollie is so sweet with her and Peter holds you all together. God bless you all.
Praying for you Mary! Peter, you are such an awesome husband caring for Mary through the good times and the hard times. You too are such a blessing and sharing this journey with all of us, although tough at times I'm sure, is so appreciated. I just want to let you know how much hope you give to those of us who are dealing with our own health challenges. Ollie is so cute. Loved seeing how he also cared for Mary during this difficult time. He is so precious! Praying blessings on you all and a quick recovery for Mary.
Mary and Peter, we love y’all so much and stand with you. Thank you for sharing this with us. Mary is so brave. Seeing Ollie accompany her to pre-op was a comforting thing. Keep healing, Mary! 💙
I hope now that it's 2 days out the pain has subsided. Thank you so much for vlogging even on days like these -- I have been watching your vlogs for so long that I feel like we're good friends, and always miss when you don't post (from vacationing, etc). Thumbs up for Mary, but also Peter and Ollie for supporting :)
How is it that Mary didn't get bruises around her eyes? I gotta say Ollie cracks me up, he's so laid back, never shows any emotion.....cuteness overload.
🔪👃🏻 we did what we had to do 💪🏻
Hi
fingers crossed this will bring you some relief
Good job love💜
Hope this brings you some relief!
The Frey Life praying for a quick recovery! Love you guys.
"Are my eyes crusty"? "Nope. They're beautiful". You both humble me. Thank you.
Peter, thank you for taking the time to film and share all this with us, even as you are probably busy helping Mary recover. Mary, thank you for being willing to share these challenging times with us.
Thank you for pointing out that Peter does both of those things.
DarkBlue Matter Thankyou for saying this-it’s absolutely, and completely true!! PETER - make sure you take good care of yourself. Caretakers have a hard job; you do it SO WELL! You are so lucky to have each other & Ollie. Many bright blessings to you all always! HUGS from NYS.
I pray this surgery helps you tremendously!
Btw NPO is Latin--nils per os = English translation of nothing by mouth
Love you both, Nurse Annette
Annette thanks for sharing your insight with us! :)
In the U.K. we call it nil by mouth (NBM)
Ollie loves riding with you mary... hes such a protector.....
“Shaved my legs, feel ready for surgery.”
I felt that.

5:17 LOOK at Ollie smiling! It's a carnival ride for him to go on the bed! Dogs love a ride in the car! HAHA!!! xD
Keeping you two (and Ollie!) in my thoughts and prayers! feel better Mary ♥️♥️
I love how Ollie just rides the bed with Mary. So sweet! Hope you have a speedy recovery Mary!! ❤️🙏🏻
I’m the same exact way about the helicopters at the hospital. I know that person and family is having the absolute worst day of their lives. 💜
TheDizzymom love your name!

If you’re nervous and/or in pain your blood pressure can be raised, which can give you nose bleeds. It’s no biggie. You’re going to make it! :)
Good luck honey, third times the charm!
billieblue Sheepie pain sure does this, I just had a kidney stone and was shaking from excruciating pain and the er nurse who took my blood pressure looked quite concerned. 😂
Maybe the air is also really dry in that hospital room. That can cause nosebleeds too. That’s why my doctor recommends to always lube up my nose with Vaseline when the air is really dry.
she'll have to have the surgery again -- with CF the sinuses will continually fill up and block, unfortunately :(
Thanks billieblue Sheepie

Its not silly thats completely valid, they want to help people better understand CF and you're proof its working
Strong family (Peter and Ollie) support.
Feel better soon Mary. I am surprised they can't give anything for the pain like they do every other surgery. We love you.
Prayers to our compassionate Jesus for relief from pain and a speedy recovery.
Glad surgery went well and your are recovering. Praying for all of you.

Prayers you have a quick and easy recovery and you're able to get home soon. ❤💜
You got this Mary! Hang in there. Hugs to all of you.
Praying for you. My heart goes out to you. I have had 4 sinus surgeries over the years. It's pretty crappy for a day or two, but so worth it in the end. It sounds like you know that already. Hang in there. You are a trooper. God bless.
Bless your heart Mary...I hope they gave you some pain meds to help you manage the post surgery pain!! xo
Mary you are so strong and beautiful! Even in the toughest physical times your light shines to those around you. Peter you are a wonderful husband at your wife's side through all the ups and downs of this journey. I love watching you guys navigate these times. Best channel on RUclips.
I am so grateful that you show your surgeries in such detail as it really helps me face my fear for the upcoming 2 potential surgeries I have to do after my chemo which is only one away from being over .God bless you and I hope you have less and less pain and a headache free year. xxx
I'll think of you! Sending you lots of get-well wishes and hope and strength for your journey! Kind regards!
Thanks to y'all, my faith has grown stronger!
Love all of you! I hope this surgery does wonderful improvements for you Mary!
Thanks Deb!
Praying for a quick recovery 🙏
All you gotta do is breathe, breathe. You did it,Our Lord is forever good!! Praying for your recovery!!
We love you Mary #BREATH-OF-FRESH-AIR
I hope now that it's 2 days out the pain has subsided. Thank you so much for vlogging even on days like these -- I have been watching your vlogs for so long that I feel like we're good friends, and always miss when you don't post (from vacationing, etc).
Thumbs up for Mary, but also Peter and Ollie for supporting :)
Thank you for updating us on Mary's recovery. Prayers to you all and prayers for a speedy recovery and that the headaches are gone for a long time!
glad your surgery went well. it's hard being 2 days behind and wondering if all is well. hopefully your sinus will improve greatly!
I agree!!!!
Why are the vlogs 2 days behind again I forgot. But yes I completely agree
kayla garelick that’s why following them on IG is good because we get updates sooner than in the vlogs!

How is it that Mary didn't get bruises around her eyes? I gotta say Ollie cracks me up, he's so laid back, never shows any emotion.....cuteness overload.
