Yes! What a wonderful surprise! I remember your last surgery and there's no way, Mary, you could have even talked with your bounce and energy day after surgery last time. No way. Just hearing you and seeing you I'm so grateful and amazed. Continued healing!!
Glad to see you’re going home! Way to heal, Mary! I’m wondering, could you maybe keep a bucket or one of those special vomit bags near the bed so that you don’t make a mess? I feel like it would make Peter’s life a million times easier! Enjoy being at home!
From one day to the next the change is nothing less than miraculous! So happy you are all back home and Mary's headache is gone. Very happy for you!!! ❤️
So glad you, Peter and Ollie are home safe and sound and no headaches so far! Hope you keep healing in your own time and get back to your normal health zone...
I scare the nurses in recovery everytime I come out of anesthesia because I don't have that twilight period. I go from out to up and fully lucid and ready to ask questions/get back to my room. Also, my daughter LOVES those hospital non-slip socks 😂
Mary you look absolutely beautiful and good luck with recovery. Ollys haircut looks great! That’s a great idea about precutting feeding tube tape and I totally agree home hospital is so much better than normal hospital. My dr came to check my surgery wounds at home and she didn’t bring the right equipment to fix one of my wounds and in my medical supplies I had everything she needed lol rest up Mary and peter it’s been a long few days for you. You are always in my thoughts xo
So happy for you to get home nothing beats being home especially when you not feeling the best. So proud of you Mary you did this. Hugs and love from NZ
I totally understand on how exciting it is to be cut loose from the hospital. I spend anywhere from 1 week to 3 months at a time. Oh man, when they say I can go home the next or the same day, I'm ready long before they are lol. I have my daily Bible verse that I've used for everything. The verse is psalms 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, ever present in times of trouble." I just sold my mustang that I had a vinyl done for it. Now I need to get another one made for my new car. I'm glad you're home and I'm sure you are very happy to get real sleep. Sleeping in hospitals are almost impossible.
Yay!! So glad y'all are home!! I do the same thing after surgery. One time I didn't remember doing it but the next day I was so sore all over and I called my nurse to ask if that was normal. She told me I was shaking violently while waking up and that's why I was so sore. Ketamine used to be the culprit and now I'm allergic to it so I haven't had that happen to me in a few years!
I LOL'd so much when I saw Ollie with a towel wrapped around his neck as you were grooming him on your hospital bed!! 😂🤣😂 I guess nothing phases him. He is such a good boy! So happy that you were able to go home the next day. Praying for your continued healing.
I've had this happen before but forgot to comment, the ad before your video was for Kinder Surprise!!! So glad you had such a short stay in hospital this time.
Sucacoline anesthesia is what gives you the cramping(almost seizure like) and the horrible pain afterwords . If I have to have surgery I have them leave out the Sux. Glad you made it thru the surgery ok. Praying for you guys!
I'm so glad you're able to be home so soon! That's such an amazing gift! And life is such an amazing gift! Today I choose Joy, courage, gratitude, and most of all God! Sending you so many healing prayers!
Glad everything worked out and that your free of headaches. What about the spleen pain, is that all better now? Also just interested to know, why do you vomit such a lot? Is it to do with digestion? Or is it the mucus? You may have mentioned this in another video . Hope this isn't too intrusive. So happy you got to go home!
Mary, I just got on the Dexcom G5 May 31st. I love it... The 1st meter that came with my new supplies was not working correctly, so Dexcom replaced it. I missed getting new supplies for July because of a glitch of some sort between my insurance co. & my diabetic PA & Dexcom. While they were trying to get things back on track, Dexcom overnighted (1) sensor. I had to find the instructions again so I would be able to attach my sensor & get it started. As soon as I attached the sensor & got it to connect to my transmitter, the meter advised that I needed a new transmitter before 14 days were up. After the 14 days, I attached the new sensor & the new transmitter I tried to start the sensor after recharging the meter, but immediately got a message "Low Transmitter Battery Could not start sensor Pair with new transmitter" All week I have forgotten to contact Dexcom, to find out what I need to do... It's driving me nuts. Glad you got yours attached & working OK. I replaced my sensor & recetor
Home hospital makes the world go round!! Home is SO much better than hospital!!! Make sure u do stay ahead of that pain, (as u know well), u gotta be comfy enough to clear those lungs!!! Ur a SUPERSTAR Mary!!!❤️🤗🙏
🌟🎊WELCOME HOME MARY🎊🌟 Glad you are good and well enough to be able to go home....that’s awesome... All the love...thoughts and prayers from around the world helped in your quick recovery...Ollie is so great and good...your abs could hurt from vomiting... Sending lots of love and prayers always to both of you from New York💕🙏🏻
I got home from hospital approximately the same day - my admission date had been 23 May, so I’ve been gone a while. So I really really appreciated you singing that we are going home! Hey, My doctors here in Australia must’ve heard you singing and finally let me go home.. LOL. You are a warrior woman! :)
So happy for you. Haven’t commented for a long time as have had an almighty relapse of my ME. Worst in such a long time. Plus having to get right amount of injections for my hand. Taking it easy still. More exciting things to come for you. Hope you can get out on the water soon. Love and hugs. Geraldine xx
Congratulations on the successful surgery and quick recovery. Hopefully, the headaches are gone too and you can be better prepared for the move other adventures in your future.
I am over the moon that you are home and surgery is behind you, ice pick in your head has been removed......💃💃💃 I am doing my happy dance! I hope you have all had a restful day settling back in. 🤓💟🙏
So glad the surgery went well and you feel better Mary. I pray that you get home and continue to get better. Got my hat yesterday and it is soooooo cute. Hopping to get my shirt tomorrow❤️❤️❤️
😂🤣😂 nice “FREEDOM” edit Peter! 😜 I’m so happy that you got to go home Mary...I am praying that this surgery will make your headaches go away...or at least ease up! Love y’all!
So happy that you were able to go home the day after your surgery! I’m so sorry that you got so sick though the night of the surgery; I know what that is like; I always get so sick after surgery due to the anesthesia (I’ve had plenty of surgeries too; 22). Not sure if you remember me, Mary, but I actually met you at a friend’s New Year’s Eve Party about 10 years ago and was on summer staff at Joy El with Peter; my last name was Starr before I got married.
So glad you are home and feeling better. It's always nice when you can be in your own home especially your own bed. Continued prayers for you and Peter💜
Glad you were able to fly the coop so fast! We (hubby and I) both had to laugh a bit when you said your abs hurt. Not laughing at the soreness but that 99% of the pain I get post op from any surgery is ab pain. I wake up from surgery with complex partial seizures that are hard to control and I do crunches (that is what we call them). Your comment about soreness made us both nod our heads and say oh we get that one!
I had an apt today I was in there 10 minutes today..but with the busses...I'm so tired home after 5 hours. MARY IM so glad your home today. You will get normal home sleep. Not hospital sleep. Up 6-10 times then have a nurse ask how do you feel today? TIRED I'M TIRED. Oh no not at your house you will sleep and get plenty of rest. Just about Everyone knows how hospitals are. No sep. Non.
Yay, you're home, and it rained to boot, simply love the rain, it's supposed to rain here in Oregon tomorrow and the next day . My ideal day is cloudy with plenty of rain, lol. You guys are champs, cheers!
Really? I love rain, too! My favourite anti stress walk was always along the beach during storm and rain, being dressed water- and windproof. And I remember when my son was a baby I snuggled him warm and safe, water- and windproofed the baby carrier and myself and we went for the most beautiful walk through a very old tiny city in Europe for two hours. Just the two of us and the sound of rain. My baby slept warm, safe and tight and I enjoyed every second of it! Kind regards and many delightful rains to you!
Funny isn't it that technically this was a more advanced surgery than last time, yet you're going home day 1 post-op! Yay for healing @ home -- so much easier when you feel comfy and aren't woken up all night
So happy for you Mary , you got to go home 💖Yay 🎉🎊 now you can all rest better and be yourselves, Ollie can play in the yard 💖 grateful for sure 💗 Tfs God bless 🙏 Margaret from Florida 🌴 🌴
You guys should put a laugh every day sticker in all the hospital rooms you stay in - nice little easter egg surprise! Then you could tell where you've been too
Hi Guys , Yippee , you guys are all home !! SUPER _Gr8 , now you can heal and get feeling better . But they didn't have to pack your sinuses with gel-pack??? I'm so glad you get to go home already. I just started watching you guys about 3 months ago. My PFT runs about 46-48%. I also do Pulmonary Rehab at home twice a week. Thank you for your inspiration God bless you with your move to NC. I've had 9 Sinus surgeries back in the day when I was younger. I now go in o the hospital twice a year for 4 weeks.
So surprised!!! And SO THANKFUL!!!
The Frey Life i hope your recovery goes well ❤️❤️
Yah! Your going home (99%?). Love your calling card on the door.
So happy the surgery is over and you can be back home 💗💞💗
The Frey Life So happy for you!! God is so good!
I’m surprised that was a quick hospital stay and to be released the day after major surgery like that is crazy
Yes! What a wonderful surprise! I remember your last surgery and there's no way, Mary, you could have even talked with your bounce and energy day after surgery last time. No way. Just hearing you and seeing you I'm so grateful and amazed. Continued healing!!
What happened with the spleen pain? Did the ultrasound show anything?
Glad to see you’re going home! Way to heal, Mary!
I’m wondering, could you maybe keep a bucket or one of those special vomit bags near the bed so that you don’t make a mess? I feel like it would make Peter’s life a million times easier!

shortysax Mary won’t reply to this lol
From one day to the next the change is nothing less than miraculous! So happy you are all back home and Mary's headache is gone. Very happy for you!!! ❤️
So glad you, Peter and Ollie are home safe and sound and no headaches so far! Hope you keep healing in your own time and get back to your normal health zone...
Peter you must have the strongest stomach ever. I'd be like "Mary, move over I gotta puke too!" Glad the surgery went well for you.
As a nurse myself, I would have no problem with my patient having a service dog. However, grooming him in the hospital is totally inappropriate.
Laura Shoemaker where did she groom the dog???
SO good to see you with such bounce! I am so grateful with you for the accelerated healing! Keep it up, both of you! 🐌😊💐
Woohoo!! I’m so glad you can continue your recovery at home! It’s always so much more comfortable.
I scare the nurses in recovery everytime I come out of anesthesia because I don't have that twilight period. I go from out to up and fully lucid and ready to ask questions/get back to my room. Also, my daughter LOVES those hospital non-slip socks 😂
Ariel Taylor I’m the same way lol
I agree with you Peter...much better than last time.
You look so good girl! I’m so glad you were able to come home so quickly after this surgery/admission! 🏥🙌🏻

I think it’s a wonderful idea to put the decal in the hospital room. Someone will definitely need to see that and it’ll be right there. ❤️
I LOL'd so much when I saw Ollie with a towel wrapped around his neck as you were grooming him on your hospital bed!! 😂🤣😂 I guess nothing phases him. He is such a good boy! So happy that you were able to go home the next day. Praying for your continued healing.

I’m so happy for you that you are going home! 🤗👍
No. You didn't really cut the dogs hair on the hospital bed. I'm sure I couldn't have really seen that.
I don't understand a service dog in a hospital where you have nurses and such. What work did he do in pre-OP?
Completely inconsiderate. I was shocked to see that!
Deborah Boudreaux - she had towels down to catch the hair and I’m quite sure she or Peter would have thrown out the cut hair.
But the hair tie in the floor...ewww?
But WHY do it in the first place? Actually nauseated at the selfishness and total lack of consideration for whomever may use the room afterwards.
😂🤣😂 nice “FREEDOM” edit Peter! 😜 I’m so happy that you got to go home Mary...I am praying that this surgery will make your headaches go away...or at least ease up! Love y’all!

I had surgery a couple months ago, and DID lose my favorite scrunchie. It was purple and perfect to keep on my wrist!
These losses can hurt ... Hope you find another one!
