OK, when he walks around you, don't move shoot arrows in his eye you got 4 or 5 seconds so at least 2 shots. When he jumps, roll to the side, dual blade or blade : any special moves that makes you go forward (but not the dual blade one that makes you going backward), aim for the head. With this technique he gets stun, when he's stun full burst. If you get hit on his second attack combo, just stay put and heal yourself, then dodge. If you dodge then heal you 'll take an other hit. Don't let the bleed stack, on T2 if you do so it's guraranteed death. SO use first aid each time you get hit. WHen he run around you face him and when he jumps dodge two times backward then get closer to him. Never be too far from him cose if so he will harass you by jumping to you.

Why did you not once use your skill? Or do the jump attack for the dual blades. The jump attack is a closer (you had trouble closing distance on openings) and the skill you have on is faster damage than normal swings. Same with the bow with not using skills.

Roll towards him when he does the slam leap. It puts you on his backside. He won’t hit you and you can get multiple strikes in. I cleared him with bone spear this way.

I kill it pretty consistently with the bow and poison arrows. Remember to use skills. The 3 shots one melts him with stacked poison.

@@WombatGaming You dont notice it early game, but it's a game that is a lot about optimization. You can have 5 buffs, 3 food buffs, one alcohol and one tobaco. Your weapons can have 4 mods, damage bleed coma and durability. Armors patch stack too. When entering bronze gear you want an armorsmith and weapon smith 60; You don't take durability perks but quality. Cause be in legendary gear is important. If you cant have full legendary armor at least gloves ring and collar, as it's damage parts. ALl weapons skills are not good in all situations pick up wisely, and weapons skills differs based on the class you play, War, guard hunter etc. I suggest you go get the back up device and get you legendary tribeman that you play. It's game changer. If you affraid to lose your tribeman got get a guard on flint tribe with if possible T3 native perk with defense boost. Get some quinoa in the mangrove tribe camp, and grow it. This way you will a very easy food that gives 100% xp and crit damage. If you can build a base near tribe's barracks, do it blindly. Having good tribemen is crucial. This sabertooth fight, on full legendary bronze gear with my dps tribeman takes me around 15 seconds. T2 fight is for iron gear, don't try it before. T3 fight is for end game gear.

EVeryone need training on boss fights. I'm killing it in less than 2 minutes in T2, that's not allowing me to be mean with people with less knowledge.
