    I work in electrical temps and we go through boxes and boxes of Wagos. A worrying trend on site is other trades opening up our lighting JBs to steal them, leaving live conductors on show.

    On ownership of WAGO - it hasn't always been an independent company. From 1974 until 4 April 2003 WAGO was 51% owned by the UK company Spirent PLC and its predecessors. Before that they owned 25% of WAGO but I can't find how long that was for. In some of their Annual Reports they described the WAGO business as a Joint Venture.

  • @Beanyboi2913
    @Beanyboi2913 Год назад

    Great product for many applications.
    However I found when doing a tug test the 222 can come undone with medium force respect to a strip of connectors.
    Probably not an issue with cable grips or glands for securing the cable.
    Just tight connections avoids high resistance from loose connections.

    Is there a R in wago.

  • @samteague1563
    @samteague1563 Год назад

    I think I have finally figured out why so many comment that it is easy to remove wires from a Wago 222, et al, connector. I is because you haven't really inserted your wire INTO the connector. As stupid as this may sound, it is the result of the extreme pressure required to fully open a Wago lever! The lever MUST be opened to nearly 90 degrees in order to permit wires to be inserted. When I first tried to open a Wago 222, I thought I was going to break the lever before it fully opened. But I persisted and it finally FULLY opened. The clamping spring must of necessity be very strong to really affix the wires in the connector. Makes opening the lever at first a scary proposition.
    If one had to install a lot of these connectors at one time, I think you will have a sore finger at the end of the day. Perhaps Wago will bring out a tool to give some leverage to fully open the connector on high volume jobs? Just my two cents...🙂
