I lived in Vinai camp 1975-1980
I was an interpreter for Jerry B Daniel and other American when they came to interview our hmong people in the camp. I lived at Center 2/3/19

Doua Xiong - l lived in C3, Q2 1979-1983. I also worked as an interpreter helping interview for the people. I left Ban Vinai March 1983.

1980 to 1985 we still fighting very hard with the red Laos communists and still lived in the jungles eating leaves and yellow potatoes plus many more bad stuff just to survive until we escaped from the jungles and coming to to Thailand....when we were coming half way to thai and laos border they're lots and lots fights between that half to the border....our groups are about 1060 people coming to Thailand but after the shooting then we divided to three groups and when we're made it out to Thailand then i remembered that all three groups lost some people in every group so when everyone make it the place that we always dream about, it was the name we ban vinai then only seven hundred and eighty nine made it to Thailand and the rest were killed and lost in the border😥😥😥😥😥😥
