    I'm 45 and have a handed down 89 Deville. It has been in my possession for 16 years now, and I keep it looking and running great. I will never let it out of my family as long as I'm alive. These Cadillac's are as close to the old American dream as it gets. Cheers to you and your awesome Caddy.

      @@TheDukeTMOfficial Thank you, and future fyi on these caddis are water pumps. I know 3 other people who have 90 Deville's , and we all have changed our water pumps and that is usually it. The motor and trans are solid with these yesrs. Good luck to you!

    I always wanted a 89-93 DeVille,or front wheel drive Fleetwood,but is was so hard to find one that wasn't thrashed or butchered beyond return,so I settled for real clean ,low mileage (42,567)LeSabre Custom.
    Nice Coupe DeVille, enjoy the car it's a beauty.The 4.9 is a good engine,watch the engine coolant maintainance,and change the oil regularly and you'll have little to no trouble with that engine.

    Don't know about the exhaust thing I like my Caddy's quiet but to each his own. It seems to be a nice car something to be proud of and you will always find something to tinker with as with any car.

      I agree. A lot of modern cars to me lack character, they all feel and look very similar. Not terrible, but nothing special, especially compared to what came before.

    I've had my 1989 Coupe Deville with 39,000 miles for 16 years. One thing that drives me crazy about these models is that the plastic panel "skirts" at the bottom of the vehicle never match. They must have been painted in different locations. I've noticed yours is the same way. Mine is only on the driver's side. I'm going to paint that section from wheel to wheel so they match.

    • @TheDukeTMOfficial
      @TheDukeTMOfficial  3 года назад

      I have noticed that. It's a slight change in color, but very noticeable especially on overcast days.

    Glad to hear someone do a vid on a coupe de ville, just bought a '90 with landeau top with a sun roof, factory wheels cloth interior, there is some wear on the piping on the drivers seat, some wear on the steering wheel, needs a battery, so can't check the lights but all are there, haven't had it running yet, very good royal blue paint, I'm 89 so had better hurry up, Eh.

    Hello - How did you remove the air vents so you could take the upper dash pad off to replace the speakers? I have a 91 coupe Deville that needs its speakers replaced as well. Thanks!

    • @TheDukeTMOfficial
      @TheDukeTMOfficial  3 года назад

      This is the tutorial I followed ruclips.net/video/3mBxRimXdx8/видео.html
      Make sure to use both fingers when removing them, as you don't want to have one side pop out before the other as the plastic is old. Also, don't forget about removing the screw thats inside the glovebox. That was by far the hardest to get.
      Cheers!

    The arm rest is not leather. Your power antenna needs replacing. I have an 1987 Eldorado Biarritz with all 29 options available in 1987, original paint and condition. Always garage kept. That is a time capsule and everything works. It has the delco/Bose stereo with 4 individual amplifiers ( that was available on only 3 cars, the corvette, the Eldorado and Seville) , so need for an after market stereo that looks out of place!

    • @TheDukeTMOfficial
      @TheDukeTMOfficial  3 года назад

      I did not know that about the arm rest.
      The El Dorado is a cool car, I love hearing about peoples time capsules.
      I may look for one, but aftermarket parts are hard to come by.
