Agree... about colour choice is subjective: Black - gets too hot in summer and attracts dirty the most. Grey - neighbour already got a Tesla Model 3 in this colour. White - just too common around. Red - gorgeous colour but my other car Mazda 3 is in Soul Red which actually looks slightly more vibrant than Tesla's ultra red. Silver- wasn't available at the time of my purchase and a few months of waiting list. So I got the Blue.
White definitely doesn’t require more frequent cleaning. Lighter colors like white and quicksilver hide dust and dirt the best(unless you go mud bogging or something). My favs are a toss up between Ultra red, white and quicksilver..might be forced to stealth grey if pricing doesn’t change before I’m ready to order as I refuse to spend and extra $8500-$9500 on a color by losing the tax credit
Getting mine in Quicksilver! Haven't seen anyone with that color yet so I'll potentially be the first in my area with it. It's just a ton of grey and white with an occasional red. Blue and Black are rare but black has to be the rarest
I got the white multi coat for free , back when it was still offered free. Here in Aus. I like it cause I never had a white car Although I agree With him that it takes more frequent washing (does somewhat hide dirt, actually much better than black in that sense). Coming from a grey mazda, I think grey or silver is by far the best in hiding dirt, but they also happen to be my least fav. Colours. One final ownership fact: I’m not sure it’s Tesla paint itself ,, (Shanghai paint is better than US) but I find cleaning the car much harder being an OCD, the tiniest yellow stains from droppings or tree simply don’t come off without elbow grease 😅 it’s what I mean by frequent washing, have to wash same spot again and scrub hard. Although what I found out and this is good for new owners is if u don’t wana spend on ceramic coating / wrap etc, buying a $50-100$. Ceramic spray and doing the car after every other wash is great idea or minimum every couple mounths, the same effort putting the coating not only makes it feel super smooth and shiny , it makes next wash so much easier… so the wash ends up taking half the time. On other hand what I was expecting him to discuss is colour when viewed from different angles , no one talks about this: When I bought my mazda was advertised as grey and we assumed grey is the one wife liked it, than through the years I noticed that white I actually looks best on that particular mazda car!! And still to this day. Now having experienced this when we came to buy Tesla, I said that’s it it must be white, but in show rooms it’s difficult to notice what u notice long term, this is super detailed stuff lol So now that I own white every time I see Tesla coming forward from far away BLACK is actually what looks best. At least for MY!!! I own a MY LR. which is essentially model 3 stretched. From front view white looks the worst and doesn’t give that “Porsche” line blend just looks so plain . From the rear and side it looks very nice on side cause of contrasting wheels, rear is fine. But black looks awesome all around cause those black accents work even better on black making become a more seamless car.. I guess u will never know best colour until owning and seeing others 😂😂 This reinforces the saying : “The grass is always greener on the other side ..” Or “U always want what u can’t have ..” even if that other thing is worse😂 Remember this comment next time u buy new car. Black looks best on most cars, but some cars (like the mazda cx9) just look best with their own particular cokour. Like I can’t imagine owning a non black bmw (I had 3 befor) But it’s notorious with dirt
I don’t want to pay extra for color. Other countries pay extra for stealth grey but it is free in the US. Why not take the advantage of it? I like white also but it is extra $1000 and there are too many white cars.
Murdered out (black/black) would be #1 with stealth PPF and carwash membership, but my pick is Quicksilver. Midnight Cherry ("Midnight" as a blue!? oof) would be sick, but we don't deserve color variety I guess.
Blue/red are the worst. Specifically the red is driven by the annoying Tesla owners who are the “look at me” types. Black/white/gray are for the practical owners. Ordered Quicksilver to replace my black Model 3. Black looks stunning when clean. Hoping QS is easier to maintain.
Let me know if you agree or disagree with my color rankings 👇🏼🤔

Stealth gray and quicksilver are hands down the best looking colors
@@TeamXXJustin its funny how since stealth gray gets so much hate because is the free color
@@RIVvideos I think it’s crazy too! It won’t be free next year. Tesla cycles the colors
It's a free color in the usa. In europe, white is the free color, stealth grey comes as a 2000E extra
Wrong. Quicksilver is number one.
Quicksilver in traffic looks like every other silver car.
@roadrash999 but it doesn't look like every other Tesla which are usally white and stealth grey
@@LoganDec01 blue is #1
I agree with you just the fact the quicksilver would be the rarest of them all

I’d go with either ultra red or quicksilver as #1, both are incredible
NoNE of these colors #1-5 are worth giving up the $7500 tax credit so stealth grey wins by a mile.

If I buy one I will come back to this comment
Got the quicksilver one
“Scratches more easily “ as you rub the sand/dust into the paint.

Agreed with 1 & 2 but will place the blue at 6.
Facts
100% agreed. The Blue is underwhelming.
For me it’s:
1. Red
2. QuickSilver
3. White
4. Black
5. Grey
6. Blue

Tesla should offer something like the Lava Blue you can get for VW/Skoda.
Juat picked up my model 3 long range in ultra red tonight
How long did you get it delivered since the order date?

1. stealth gray / red

3. Blue (haven't seen it in person)
4. Black
blue is stunning beautiful!
Blue is pretty rare. I wish there were more on the road
@MoistDelta. oh let's keep it rare and unique! less popular
I chose white
Blue with white interior is super rare
Blue is number 1 don’t be a fool 🤣🤣🤣
agree!!
ULTRA RED WITH WHITE INTERIORS ALL DAY
I’d love to pick the red, but I ain’t paying $2k for it. So that leaves the blue for me.
You mean the red that gets more speeding tickets? These explanations aren't too good.
