thank you for your information! I'm a veteran, i got a linkedin message from another veteran who is now a recruiter from AWS, he told me about "program for Veterans that graduated ANY IT related Cert, Associates, or Masters between 2022-2024." and he said about training to become a Solution Architecture at Arlington campus, I'm so nervous with the interview now. I just finished my assessment and now i'm waiting for a prep interview.
Great video and very informative Greg, I am still learning AWS at beginner level I have strong IT background and experience. I find your videos unique, engaging and always spot on. Much appreciations for your time and effort.
Thank you Greg for agreeing to create this insightful video on the interview process! The information shared was incredibly helpful and provided me valuable insights to prepare for the interview. I do have a question: Could you shed some light on how AWS conducts loop interviews for individuals based in countries where AWS doesn't have a physical operating office?
I have a phone interview, but I have never spoken English to anyone, so I have two big problems, I have to prepare for the technical part, which is not easy as I can see, and I have to prepare my English. To top it off, I'm very anxious and scared, but I will face this.
Thank you for the video, great information. I have a technical interview for Senior Security Solutions Architect (Threat Detection & Incident Response), Security Specialist SAs coming up. Will it be all security related or do I need to go deep on databases and other domains?
Thank you so much for taking time to dive into hiring process in AWS. Got to know the process in depth. More sessions will be appreciated on the same topic. Looking forward to get more insights from you. I am following you in LinkedIn
Hello Greg, Thankyou for the informative videos so far every week ! Could you please describe the TechU Program for Entry Level Jobs If it is a good topic for you too. Thanks
Does customer success story help us to know the business aspect of SA profile? Or is there any other way to know how a SA aligns business aspect with technical skills?
Thanks for the content you gained a subscriber 🎉. İ am certified solution architect with lot of hands on labs but no experience but trying to get entry level job, could you please suggest what might be the best role for someone in my case? İ also wonder working as an entry level job what might be my daily tasks in the company
Thanks for this helpful and insightful video. I got through phone screening last week and I’ve been invited back for the loop. I appreciate you’re busy but if I buy you a virtual coffee would you have a few minutes for a call as I prepare? Many thanks 🙏
Thank you for the video, it really helped a lot. I have a question, I applied for Associate Solution Architect from the referral and have phone interview for 30 minutes, is it going to be the same that you mentioned in the video? Thank you in advance.
Not sure. 30 minutes sounds short. If it's an SA interviewing you I would be prepared to answer technical questions. Check with your recruiting coordinator for clarification.
Those customer success stories help us to know the business aspect of SA profile? Or is there any other way to know how a SA aligns business aspect with technical skills?
Thank you very much for your video. I am preparing for an SA loop interview. My recruiter mentioned that each leadership topic will be examined for about 20 minutes, and it should preferably be related to technical cases. They will delve into the cases and assess the technical aspects based on them. However, many of my cases are business-related. What should I do?
@@hellobaymax Congrats Max! I also just received a phone meeting from an Amazon recruiter for an SA role. Any tips you can give for me during the 3 step interview process? Specifically with the technical and loop interview if possible.
@@brianliftsthis The first round is a technical interview, which mainly involves delving into the technical aspects of the projects listed on your resume and will also inquire about your experience with AWS usage. After passing the technical interview, you will have the loop interview, which focuses on leadership principles. You will need to integrate the leadership principles with your past work experience. For example: Have you ever been criticized by a customer (this assesses earning trust and customer obsession).
@@hellobaymaxThanks Max. Did you feel like having 4-6 stories/situations was good enough or do you recommend having more? In my research Ive seen people recommend having up to 25 unique stories/situations to parallel with the Amazon leadership principles.
This is very insightful... Thank you for sharing this. I will like to know if the loop interview will all be conducted in a day or spread over a couple of days.
Thanks! My suggestion for SA presentation is review AWS Well Architected Framework and be able to speak to architecture best practices. How would a given workload look in AWS and be able to speak to it.
Thank you so much for this insightful video! Your explanations were incredibly helpful. I appreciate the clarity you provided. I have a quick question: Does the technical screen also include behavioral questions based on the Amazon Leadership Principles, similar to the 'loop interview'? Thanks again for sharing your knowledge!
Thanks for this video ! I know that Technical Account Manager interviews do not actually ask about AWS but general Compute, Networking, Storage and Database knowledge. I get from your video that Solutions Architect interviews are different as they actually ask AWS specific questions in the functional (non-LP) part of the interview. Is that correct ?
Glad you enjoyed the video! Tech phone screen typically covers broad tech topics. Loop interview is where you provide the STAR scenarios of things you've worked on (doesn't necessarily need to be AWS, but definitely can be) If you're given a project or presentation to create, those may require you to get into more specifics of AWS architecture.
Thank you for sharing these Tips Greg. I just had my SAA certificate. I have no IT background and I'm interested in Solutions architect rôle. Currently I'm studying partner courses. Any suggestions for me?
But how you would get to have 10 to 15 stories even if you have 10 to 15 years of experience? And, it is also not necessary that whatever you have worked on may align with AWS LP principles since only AWS has those many principles. Please clarify
Appreciate your time on the AWS sneak peak , this is something I would like to do for the community. The way you present the things are really great !
I appreciate that! See you in the next video!
