"Is the suffering of plants acknowledged in the vegan argument?" ..."No, because it's a ridiculous argument". lol, I'm glad that gary was so harsh here, because anyone who asks this question deserves to know how stupid of a question it actually is.
As a fellow non-meat eater, don't listen to his advice on feeding your pets vegan diets! This doesn't change their lives for the better, for example cats specifically need meat to function properly. See veganism as a stance against unnecessary suffering. This means that it's not necessary for a human to eat meat so we should switch our diet to the one which causes the least harm. But for a pet, this can have detrimental negative consequences on their health and well-being which means that for the sake of your pets survival, meat is morally justified. Gary is a demagogue. He is fighting for a good cause and I agree with him on many points, but he is no scientist.
Cats and dogs are carnivores, yes, but that "meat" kibble is so low quality that it's essentially poison, feeding them vegan kibble would be more beneficial to their health over that, if you want to do better, it would unfortunately just have to be raw meat.
@@TheRealKopkip low quality meat kibble and a vegan diet are both bad options for pets. There are many ways to support their natural diets in a healthy way.
@@Blessedgreenlight I misspoke about dogs. Yes, they are omnivores, but the oldest living dog ever record was on a plant based diet, could have just been lucky, I'm no expert, and I am in no way recommending anyone put their dog on a plant based diet, all I'm saying is kibble is shit food.
@Super Man There's a lot. Picked a random spot in this video and got "The only evolved species on this planet is the herbivore." "We practice atrocities on animals first that's why were are experts at killing each other." (I get what he is saying with the second one, it's just not well put). If you are asking earnestly I can provide examples from the main speech. But I don't really want to if you are just being rhetorical/asking in bad faith.
Super Man just so we are on the same page I want to be clear that I am not disputing his message. Our treatment of animals is horrendous and needs to stop. But I also believe that language should be used carefully and precisely.
Super Man I’ll start with a provocative one, and as a warning, I am going to be pedantic. “From the point of view of animals all humans are Nazis” is a nonsense statement. Here is why. Taken at its most literal, animals don’t know what Nazis are. I wouldn’t normally get THAT pedantic, but I don’t think we can take this for granted given the extent to which Gary anthropomorphizes animals. Animals are not people. Each animal has different considerations and should be treated with those considerations in mind. So let’s take for granted that he didn’t really mean this, but he meant that what we are doing to animals is what Nazis did. The Nazis were involved in systematic genocide of a people for political reasons. In the animal agriculture business we are raising animals for death. These are both atrocities, but they are different. Being charitable he may just be exploiting this language for the emotional/shock value. But I think he means it. It should be more apparently wrong to systematically kill individuals who can advocate for themselves. You don’t even need empathy to do that. It takes a higher ethic, and is therefore more incumbent on us, to fight for the rights of the voiceless because they can’t fight for themselves.
Super Man I feel patronized by your response (though I don’t think that is your intention). You challenged me to point out something in Gary’s speech that was nonsense. I did that. Your response is I that have choice on how I perceive things? Why did you challenge me on truth if everything is perception? -Peace and love
I love Gary.
I would greatly enjoy to see this man at an event
Gary is a Legend I agree with him 💯👍
Man Gary is such a great speaker.
Gary Forever❤️
Thank you so much for sharing Chris

Thank you Gary

I don't get the joke "with a rump like that, I'll never go vegetarian". Would anyone please explain it to me?
Rump can also mean ass
The dude literally uses animal products needlessly for entertainment.
Glorifying a hypocrite is absolute hilarity.
Wtf are you takling about? Are you lost??

dogs can go vegan. Cats cannot.
@@TheRealKopkip dogs are omnivores.cats are carnivores. Unless the food contains all necessary ingredients they can't be vegan.

What a load of Tosh 😅
Clearly you didnt watch the speech that predicated this Q&A. Go educate yourself before you talk nonsense.
Apparently his speech works and he’s converted a bunch of people, but man does he spew a lot of nonsense. For the greater good though I hope 🤷♂️

Super Man Well I just gave examples on the Q&A 🤷♂️. I’ll dig up one from the main video and we can go from there I guess.
