It might have been a little on the hard side but the main gear didn’t bounce. If overhead bins didn’t fly open upon landing I suspect it was normal. Due to where you are seated the main gear is only 15-20 feet away from you. Judging by the windsocks at 27:57 and 28:17 the pilot had roughly 10-15 knot crosswind 30-45 degrees from the left. I say it’s a good landing given the circumstances.
They usually do land like navy pilots. Hard to break the habit I guess lol
its a grey area because yes the landing was a little rough, but Chicago MIdway is not a big airport with small runways so they have to try and get the plane down as quick as possible to slow down.

Not a hard landing per se. It’s an intended landing on a short runway.
