I was at the Gorge at George in WA state the first time I heard Static-X. It was the middle of the day... main stage; but no one was on it. Everyone was at the other two stages. The girl I was with had gone to use the restrooms. I was literally leaning against the main stage waiting for her. A few guys came out and started tuning gear... I thought they were roadies getting stuff ready for later in the day. Wayne came out, plugged in... and then my mind was blown. They kicked into Push it and I was literally stuck in place. My GF came back... we were going to go see Drain on the B stage... but I wouldn't move. I bought their CD that day before we left the festival, and we listened to it all the way home. Years later, I saw them again in Spokane. I can not even put into words how much I appreciated their music. Those memories will always be with me. I wasn't sure at first how I would take the mask... or the tour; tbh. But this is one of the most honorific things I have seen in my life. Getting old sucks ass... but they are keeping it alive for myself and so many others. I love it. That's my piece. Thanks for the video.

I like to think that this is the zombie version of Mr. Static back on stage. They blew my mind at Freaks on Parade. I hadn’t seen them in years and holy crap they have not skipped a beat. Awesome 🤘🏼

Dude Wichita Ks! I've seen some incredible shows in that town: Zombie, 6 Feet Under, Napalm, Prong, FF.....they definitely had a ton of great bands come through back in my Ks days.

I heard that as soon as "Push It" ended that there was a stampede to get out of the venue & to the parking lot. BTW - that ZON Legend 5 string bass is around $6000+ depending on how it is configured. Had two of them & they are the best. All composite neck - -no wood (only the body is wood). Plus Joe Zon is the friendliest nicest guy that ever owned a guitar or bass guitar company. He makes you feel like you are as important as Billy Gould (Billy has a Zon signature model - the Sonus BG4).

Idk, but there definitely wasn't any stampede to get out of the venue

I knew wayne way back in the early 80's I hired him and his band for their first paying gig they were a 3 piece band and did stuff no other bands were doing, The Police, Gary Myric plus some more main stream stuff. we went to a party one night after they playede and there was another band wanting to hire him to sing for them but he was telling me he didnt know if he was good enough I just laughed and told him you have a great voice a profesional voice never thought it would have been this kind of music but he was certainly a talented musician and an even better person

Tony's involvement in this always seems a little sad considering how much coverage there was about him and Wayne not even being friends

Edsel, aka Xer0 is doing such a wonderful job. I think is to be praised that he dons the hair style, mask, manners, everything to give hommage to Wayne, and give the fans the closest thing to Wayne we could have. Sure, you can agree or disagree if he can fit the shoes or not, or whatever, but any other band would just replace the singer and that's it, make some kind of homage and move on. Static-X puts his singer, founder and frontman in soul right up there.

First song I ever heard from static in 98 or 99 on local rock station and went right out and bought the CD.
