- Things don't always go to plan on my travels, and today was a perfect example of having a plan get ruined by improper planning/bad weather/poor time management/etc. So, we improvised and still managed to have a nice time in Maui for Day 3 of this Hawaiian adventure. This time, on the infamous Road to Hana. Hope y'all enjoy!

This brought back a lot of memories from my trip last year! I ran into the same problem as well going to the black sand beach and had to settle on the Hana Bay Beach instead.

That spider is called a yellow garden spider.

To me, the road to Hana is not worth it due the road. The worst part is once you get to Hana, you have to do that road again to get back.....LOL

I'm not real fond of family trips--Being that I'm single and an introvert, my inclination as I watch this is to decline the family travel plan and do my own thing, meeting perhaps for dinner, seeing Maui on my own terms--had you attempted this scheme, how would your family have reacted?
Worst road to drive. I enjoyed the black sand beach but think Hana is overrated.
