How to Turn a Huge Log WITHOUT a Hydraulic Powered Sawmill

How to turn those massive logs that are way to big to turn by hand with a cant hook! Here's how, All you need is a loader and some short tow straps, begin by tilting the forks down as much as possible without the straps sliding off, then lift up until there is good tension but don't lift on the log just yet, next you'll want to tilt the forks all the way up to achieve rotation of the log, repeating this process until it is turned 1 quarter turn or as much as is needed, and there you have it! Without putting crazy strain on your back, now in some cases you can probably just turn the cant with your hydraulics, however I don't have a log turner (yet,) so when it comes to oversized logs, this is the easiest way I've found to turn massive logs,

That was the hard way, it’s much easier to wrap the choker around the log, but tighten it to the side. When you pick up, it rolls the log. Also, my tractor doesn’t have to be able to lift the log, most of the weight stays on the bed, and if I choke it right, I can turn the 270° or more in one life if I needed to.

I didn’t have the log Turner,
Just had the log clamping system.
I used it to turn small cants and some logs,
