It is admirable how much you are teaching your son Teddy. He is very articulate and is a great role model for the kids. Great job!
Thank you so much! He is a good learner and always a great help!
Love the relationship between you and your son !! ❤ Wish my neighborhood had trash like this ! 😍
Thank you! They are best buds:-) we do have some good trash 🤣
A wonderful channel idea that contributes to spreading awareness about preserving the environment
Thanks- we have a lot of fun as well!
Way to go Teddy!
He says thank you!
Best youtube family video ever😊
Thanks- this is one of our favorite comments ever :)
Well done Teddy! what a champ
He says thanks you! And he is a champ for sure waking up so early!
Good job. Fantastic haul. 😊😊😊
Thank you!☺️
Awesome finds Teddy !
He says thank you!
awesome find today, thank you Teddy! i would love to see you plant the cuttings.
Thank you! We made a video recently potting them up in fact! We also used to make “planting pirate” videos a while ago showing us planting them in our yard. More propagation videos are in the works!
I just can't believe you can go around so often and have such a large haul! People just throw them away left and right
you guys crack me up, love it. Now I drive around the neighborhoods looking for trashed plants!
Love you guys! Such pure enthusiasm and wonder! Would love to see how you plant the cuttings.
Aww thank you-that is so sweet. How can you not be enthusiastic about the wonderful natural world we live in? We recently made one video showing how we pot up our cuttings-also very early on in our plant pirate videos we used to make planting pirate videos showing us planting our cuttings in our yard! We have more propagation videos in the works!
First time viewer and I couldn’t love this more! What an adventure saving plants! How fun! Great idea!
Thank you! It is a lot of fun!
Awesome haul guys, well done!
Thanks so much!
🤩 Wow! Such awesome finds. I’m trying not to be jealous. 😂. Great job!
Thanks so much!
Well done, Teddy!
He says thank you!
It’s impressive. How well your son knows the names of these plants.
Do you need rooting hormone or can you just stick them in the ground to see what happens? ? I’m blown away at how beautiful your garden is.
Thank you! We just stick them in the ground a lot of the time-however to give them a bit more of a chance we stick them in water for a few days (which will help them root better and faster). We also put them in potting soil in pots as house plants to keep a close eye on them and baby them. Fresh cuttings need to be treated like seedlings for the first few weeks they are planted to give them all the chances to live
Tomatoes can be propagated via cuttings aswell!! they root so easily
Yes for sure! I broke that baby up and planted a huge patch. They struggle in the heat this time of year but if I can nurse it now we should have and abundance of tomatoes this fall
The only thing missing is the music when they are driving the Batmobile from the 60's Batman show when your driving the golf cart. Nice haul as usual, why not leave a note asking for a monstera cutting.
Yes-funny story-Doug Flutie lives near us and actually drives the Batmobile around our area! He has given our boys a tour of it!! Night rider would be a good spinoff also! And thanks for the idea-we should leave a note for the monsters cutting!
@@IslandsnHighlands They can only say no.
Do you have a full garden tour of your salvaged plants? I bet it looks like a beautiful tropical forest!
Yes, we make lots of tours of our garden on our Channel!
sweet thanks for another update and love to follow y'all, your food forest is epic. have you checked out David The Good? he's around your area and shows his garden and other permaculture food forest and writes books you should check out👍
Yes, I have one of his books and love his videos! He has great knowledge
I love your son’s knowledge and enthusiasm for plants ❤🪴🪴 I know many times you collect plants you already have could your son pot up rooted plants and sell them for a few bucks, instead of throwing them away? I think he could have a nice little business for himself! He’s a great kid well done!🪴🌱🪴🎋🌺🌸
Thank you! He loves plants and learning about them. We don’t throw them away-we plant them in pots and right back in our yard. In fact Teddy sold plants about a year ago at a plant market and did very well.
Make sure you wear gloves because you are dealing with trash you donot know about .especially for the little guy. Protect his hands.
Yes, this is a great idea especially for Teddy. Will have to remind them next time to pack some gloves. It’s so early in the morning our minds aren’t totally sharp at our departure
Doubt you'd get a variegated monstera cutting unless you bought one or the neighbors are incredibly nice 😂 those go for hundreds per plant
Can always wish! Never know unless you try!
Way to go guys! My family lives in Vero out on the island and I always bring home bromiliad and other epiphytes. Great adventure on the high seas. Way to beat the storm. Such a fun channel. Thank you both! Get to bailing!
Nice! Happy collecting! Hope you find some killer finds on the high seas!
What part of Florida is this I would like to come and see all the plants I think I would even like to move their I am retired
I live in North Carolina we don't have anything like that I love tropical plants
We are in Melbourne beach:-) it’s a great place to retire:-)
@@IslandsnHighlands thank you so much
❤❤🎉🎉 I’m learning the names of these plants from you guys. The Everlage tomatoe is awesome, just spread the seeds then you have them.
Yes! Everglades tomato seeds do not germinate unless fermented in the fruit so the best way to grow is to plant a tomato. And a tomato will grow a HUGE tomato plant
