We say NASCAR has had a terrible time with video games, but let's not forget that IndyCar hasn't even had an official game for like 15, 20 years (Not including IRacing)
Hey, on pcsx2, if using version 1.6, in the graphics configuration, enable hacks and try skip 1, 1 or texture 500, 500, it usually fixes that type of issues. Enabling alpha stencils also sorts out games like Nascar Thunder 2002.
Had this on PC after playing the demo, Brain in a Jar went on to do other, more janky, games though, but those stand in Penske liveries are genuinely awesome though
Had this game in the past, great times.

The 2005 game got a PS2 release too but only in PAL
